My bad.

I thought for some Noebels was a center. I'm pretty confident i saw Akeson playing wing last year but maybe it was just the few games I watched.

He may have (I didn't see any games) but at the prospect scrimmage he was playing center. Not sure if it was out of need or they were seeing what he could do. He's a small guy. Probably a RW if he makes it to the NHL.

I don't know too much about the AHL team, do you guys think that Jason Akeson has a real NHL potential?

He has talent, but I'm not confident he can survive against NHL level players due to his size.

He's listed at 5'10" 190lbs. While i doubt he's really 190lbs I don't think size is his main obstacle. I think it's his defensive game. And with so many small top 9 forwards already on the big club (G, Briere and Read) it'll be hard to crack the line-up as a one-way player. I honestly do believe he will be a solid 3rd liner but it may take another year in the AHL cause he only has one year of pro under his belt.

Many here believe he has NHL potential. He had ridiculous numbers in junior and put up excellent numbers for a AHL rookie last year on a defensive team.

Still, I'm not totally convinced that he will be able to make the jump to the NHL. I get the feeling he will be a Potulny/Matsumoto/Maroon kind of guy that almost makes it but doesn't because of their weaker play away from the puck. Serious question: When is last time this organization gave a legit shot to a prospect who is passive on the back check?

I hope I'm wrong though (about him falling short) because he does dish quite nicely. If he does make it, I think he needs to be in a top 6 spot to be effective. I think we as fans focus a lot on numbers and what we see they can do offensively, but Homer and Lavvy tend to care a ton about play in the defensive zone and play away from the puck. How many times have you heard either of those 2 use the term "compete level." when talking about a prospect they like? When picking the Black Aces last year I don't think Browns name was picked out of a hat

I think he is a nothing prospect, at least on the flyers. He doesn't have the defense, speed, or physicality to play in the bottom six and he is way down the depth chart for top 6. The flyers are stacked for at least two years with Schenn, Giroux, Couturier, Voracek, Simmonds, Briere and probably Hartnell. Cousins and Laughton will ready by then. Lastly he wasn't a black ace, which usually means the Flyers aren't too high on you.

it is when you can't adapt. If you are too soft on the puck, you will not succeed in the NHL. Small players have to find ways to overcome this problem

He doesnt really have that problem though. Its his 5on5 and defensive play that he struggles with. For 5on5 though i do think he needed better linemates though. He played with mcginn who doesnt really score and someone else who i forget but couldnt score also.

Not prospect related, but Phantoms related. Pictures of my Phantoms and Bears themed goalie mask.

I've seen him play a decent amount and I'm convinced that if he can fix this he'll be an NHLer. 5on5 I think he'll be fine as you said his line mates on the phantoms sucked and if he ever makes the big club they won't. I also think pairing him with a defensively responsible C will cover up many of his def short comings. I could see him making the team as early as the 2013-14 season if a spot is available.

I'm still holding out hope that Petr Placek develops into something for us...

He had a disappointing year but I'm hoping he bounces back. Gonna go try to catch a Princeton vs Harvard game this year at honey baker rink

He was very raw at prospect camp last year but you could see he had a ton of skill. He's also very intelligent which can't hurt. I wish the injury bug would leave him alone. I'm assuming he was still injured at this years camp or I'm sure he would have been there.

who is Matthew Konan, and what impact will he have with the Phantoms next year

seems like he's destined for the ECHL, and then the occasional call-up to the AHL

With the Trenton Titans (ECHL) affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. Can some Flyers fans help me out... With who we have on the In the System list on the Flyers' website, who is going where for the 2012-2013 list, and is there anyone else that would possibly be coming to Trenton?

I think he will get a chance with the AHL squad. Looked big and solid from what I saw in the prospect camp. Didnt really stand out but that wasnt a bad thing.

The list is kinda old. Wouldnt go by it at all.

Heeter will most likely be there, unless they think he should back up Hovinen in the AHL. Cal Heeter looked REALLY good during prospect camp. Hostetter will also most likely be on the squad. He is a solid defenseman, nothing to much though. Konan MIGHT be there due to the numbers game, since we have so many defensemen up there. Wouldnt be surprised if Luke Pither gets sent down. He hasnt done much, and with guys like Noebels, and Johnson (Johnson who I would have said, but he looked REAL good during prospect camp. Kid flies on the ice and has some great vision) it will be hard for Pither to make the lineup.
