Unless you're actually 16, then I guess I am.

Haha nope just a 26-year-old whose list of favorite albums has mostly remained unchanged since 2005. Was lucky enough to see Thursday in Boston during their farewell tour. Highly under-appreciated band. Always felt like no one was wishy-washy on them. Either you loved them or couldn't stand them.

A few honorable mentions for post-2005 albums: The Thermals (The Body, the Blood, the Machine), We Are Scientists (Brain Thrust Mastery).

I forgot the Foo Fighters. I think I blacked out while making my list because I couldn't just pick one album.

OK - I KNEW I wasn't crazy. God of Thunder isn't on Alive 1.... Destroyer didn't cone out till after Alive 1. It's on Alive 2 (which does not contain RRAN).

And I don't know of it's good or bad that I remember that from childhood.

I'll have to do some serious thinking on my list.

I was thinking of doing a top 20 list, but honestly all music lovers/enthusiasts could make a top 100 list.

I couldnt add any Zep, The Who, Wilco, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, any early 90's groups, Ramones, PiL, Minutemen. etc, etc. It's torture, but fun.

Some really good lists. I could probably live with just about all of them.

Off the top of my head in no order:

1.Ride- Nowhere
2. Smashing Pumpkins - siamese dream (or Gish)
3. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
4. Dinosaur Jr - Green Mind
5. Nirvana- Nevermind
6. Runaways- Live in Japan
7. White Stripes- Elephant
8. Sleater-Kinney - Dig Me Out
9. Desaparecidos - Read Music/Speak Spanish
10.Pixies- Doolittle
11.Ecstasy of Saint Theresa -Susarrate
12.Sunny Day Real Estate- Diary
13.Go Sailor - comp. of 3 ep's (just for the sheer bittersweet twee poppy cheerfulness, and sailing theme for building a raft because 10 albums isn't enough)

I'd definitely miss some Punk, New Wave, Ska, classic rock, Metal, and more 80's+90's alternative in my musical diet.

I was sticking to regular releases, skipping live discs and collections. But if I hadn't, Live After Death would have been my Maiden selection. Just an awesome live record. Also, great to see another mention of the fantastic Operation Mindcrime.

Live After Death is great for doing housework - when Bruce goes 'Scream for me Long Beach' you want to run around the house!!

I have listened to 'Mindcrime' so much I'm a little burned out on it - but 'I Don't Believe in Love' is an all time favorite track.

^^^I think greatest hits should count.

Hey Hooper, you probably already know this but Bill Doss of the Olivia Tremor Control passed away yesterday. Since they are mentioned a few times in this thread I thought this would be an appropriate place to put this.

I am amazed, shocked, and slightly concerned to see this in someone's top 10.
