Hes staying in ahl for a while i honestly don't see him beating out stoll carter richard kopitar for top 9 mins. He isnt a lw he needs to play top 2 line mins with talent on his wings to play with. Imo he maybe packaged with bernier to get a 1st. Kings have at least 8 natural centers on the team right now. Omark offense is more attractive to me then loktis. We need someone for shootouts Omark would be that.

Over the last 2 seasons Omark has been 2 for 7 in shootouts, not the best, LA could do a lot better.

Landon Ferraro for Omark.

Edit: Oops, I was thinking of Magnus Pääjärvi for some reason. Ferraro for Pääjärvi.

I wouldn't mind if the Blues took a swing, price depending.

I'm going to point out that this isn't an "Omark sucks" or "Oilers garbage" thread. It is very apparent from all perspectives that he isn't good enough to supplant any of Edmonton's top six wingers and that he isn't defensively sound enough to make any sense on their bottom six.

The question is whether there are players on other teams in this league who possess obvious skill, but have become dispensable either due to their club's depth or have been chastised by their coaching staff or fan-base due to being unable to put it altogether.

I'd imagine Omark is going to want the opportunity to make an NHL squad this fall and if he is unable to do so, he is no longer waiver exempt. Candidates for a potential return would likely be in the same position.

Fire away.
A bag of pucks. Used ones with chips in them. Omark will be back in Europe next season.

The Oilers already have a Weber clone in Corey Potter, who is likely to head to OKC after training camp. Furthermore, Paajarvi isn't going anywhere - especially for a value as low as what has been proposed.

I'm liking some of the names being dropped.

A guy like Drewiske on the back end or even a potential rebounding forward in Olesz might be a valuable commodity in return for Omark. Olesz especially, when considering a potential open spot on left wing this upcoming season. He could possibly return to form when paired with a fellow skilled countryman in Ales Hemsky.

I'd also take Jeff Schultz.

Omark has no value they couldn't even trade him at the draft for a late pick.
