Guilty as charged. I've been optimistic about him since the day he was drafted.

If Murray fails implode the organization.... Murray is the best bet prospect since Rick Freaking Nash... If Murray fails guys as Gretzky would have failed in Columbus... (not comparing just saying).

Looked great at dev camp. I've had one of those on Savard for awhile now.

Or, if Murray fails, he could just not be good.

Oh yeah, if so, when does the list of "not goods" end? 2030?

Twelve CBJ first round picks and you only have Rick Nash to brag about? If Murray fails it's not Murray.....

If Murray fails its on both Murray and the CBJ, as it is with any other bust. Player and organization.

Murray obviously.

Why is Jenner on this list?

Heh. Mine's Tynan.

That would probably make for an interesting conversation: "Which CBJ prospect are you the most overwhelmingly obsessed with?"

Because he's worthy of consideration. He's not in my top-5, personally, but he's not far off.

This is spot on in my book. Ryan Murray is without a doubt the best defense prospect this team has ever had, and probably the second best prospect overall. One might make a case for Nikolai Zherdev to be ahead of Murray, but really Rick Nash is the only one for me. This kid is the equivalent to Gabriel Landeskog on defense - he does everything right, competes hard, and is a leader in the room. Just because he didn't out-work everyone at the prospects camp, doesn't mean he should be written off already. Maybe there's something injury-wise there? Or, maybe it's possible that (as I can attest) his game isn't based on speed and hard work; but that it's based more on thinking ahead of the play and being a smart defender.

Give the kid a chance. I'm glad to see that, rightfully, he's far and away the consensus pick for our #1 prospect.

Indeed. I bet there are guys who looked better than Murray did at camp, but it's camp. None of those other guys think the game at the level Murray does, and that will be evident right off the bat once they start going at it with the big boys.

Tim Erixon says "Oh yeah? Watch this!"

P.S. The only reason I picked Atkinson over Erixon is because I expect Cam to get more ice time to show what he can do.

I do like Erixon Lee, but let’s be honest here, he has a running start... Erixon is not a prospect imo... he's going to bump a top four sooner than later...

The Jacket defense overall (they are going to score or lead to scores as in deflections on the PP) should end up being key... our 2012-13 season is going to be led by the back end and Jack Johnson. They will be good all over the ice, look for our defense to lead the offense this season.

Looking forward for our blue line to start the offense, much easier to tip in a shot from the blue line or to pot a rebound than it is to get a straight on wrister by NHL goalies Lets GO Jackets!!

Book it LGJ.... that said, if the defense is busy playing offense we better have a goalie that can stop the puck... therein lies the problem with upcoming CBJ season... they need rock hard goaltending and as of now they don't have it.

Mr.Howson's career is on the line with this issue, I don't think Bobrovsky and Mason are good enough to support an offensive defense....

We need a goaltender to support Jack Johnson and our strength, the defense.
