I wonder if Kovy will be moved back to LW too? Fat chance I guess, but Elias-Zajac-Kovalchuk wouldn't be a bad first line. Then again maybe too much firepower for one line?

Does anyone think Matt Shaw will attempt to make changes if he doesn't like certain things on the PP? Like Kovy on the point which has stayed the same through 2 PP coaches, and 3 head coaches now?

On the topic of power play does anyone think it's reasonable to have a top 5 PK, and a top 10 PP this year? Especially with a lot of the same personnel on both units? It seemed when the PP picked up right after the all star break for us for a little while there the PK dropped off slightly.

Henrique will have a 23 goal and 31 assist season. Write that down.

I don't see a loaded top line. You will almost certainly see Kovalchuk with Zajac seeing how impressive they were together under Lemaire. It makes sense to have the best defensive center guard Kovalchuk's errors in his own zone.

Patrik Berglund for Andy Greene and Alexander Urbom

Berglund - Zajac - Kovalchuk
Elias - Henrique - Zubrus
Tedenby- Josefson - Clarkson

That is the best I can think of

Berglund? To complete the circle of life? Used as a Penner-type winger? Another Swede? Interesting idea, indeed.

But let me ask you something. Even though the Blues are looking for a top4 D, why would they get rid of a centerman?

St. Louis laughs. A lot.

Quite frankly, I do too.

I had him on the RW on my second line in NHL 12 Dynasty. With Elias and Henrique. He put up 14pts in 7 playoff games. Dude is clutch with those two.

Sad thing is years ago Berglund probably could have been had for a reasonable price. He was struggling. It didn't seem he'd reach his potential, and I remember them being a little down on him. I really wanted Lou to take a run at him at that time, but it is what it is. I don't see St. Louis moving him, especially for the mentioned package.

Your response started off serious and then ended with a joke?

Dude might fail on 236456 breakaways in a row, but when it's time to close out a game/playoff series, you know it's going in.

Using NHL video games to justify your reasoning immediately invalidates whatever claim you made.

That's like going negative heading into final Jeopardy.

Years ago Berglund could have, actually should have been drafted by us. That was our spot. Instead we got Corrente at 30th overall who's played just under 35 games in how many years for us.

What exactly happened there? We ended up with Carolina's pick, and St Louis ended up with ours? Who did we trade? I can't remember?

Someone on the Devils e-mail list back around 2000 gave Elias, Arnott, Sykora the moniker, the EA Sports line, which sadly seemed to be limited to that forum. Way better than the A Line, what a stupid name.

I really like the Musketeer idea, people who can go to many games should make signs. Too bad Lou won't let them wear beards/goats.
