It's definitely getting up there, but I'm still feeling pretty patient. And I will admit he initially had a tendency to take a lot of outside shots (hit blueline, shoot puck), but I didn't see that happening very much last season.

If he maintains the same kind of offensive production this coming season then I'll argue no more. I like him as a player, so I'm entirely willing to be a little more patient with him (and a 5% shooting percentage is full-on stonehands, which I have trouble believing for anyone but the grindiest of grinders/Scott Gomez).

That sounds good, I'm really interested in how Jankowski develops in Providence.

well obviously i have an account on here i do consider myself as a pretty knowledgable hockey guy. i watch alot of their games and there seems to really be a lack of creativity at some times byPC. yes I know that they dont always have the skill to just let loose like the teams of BU, BC and UNH. but i really hope that the skill of jankowski will somewhat open up their system or at least his line and we start to see some creativity. Leaman also gave freshman chances to pay last year so I wouldn't really be worried about him getting stuck down the depth chart. I will keep you updated as much as I can but its not going to befor quie a bit

edit: just checked schedule. first game oct 12

Yes it is why I believe Wilson signed with the KHL as he was told he didn't have a spot.

Can you guys give me any info on John Ramage? Any chance he makes the NHL? If so, what's his ceiling and what's his realistic spot?

From what I've read, he's got a decent chance but supposedly he's likely to be a 4th/5th defenceman, with no offensive ability to speak of aside from the standard "good first pass".

Ramage has commited to attending University for his final year. There is no chance that he will be on the Flames next season. Even the following season, I see him spending a year on the Heat and then making the jump full time the year after. We are quite high on him though, I think he will be an excellent stay at home dman that can skate well and is very
intelligent.

Skate well? Um, no. Skating is probably his biggest weakness. He's solid positionally though, which helps negate the poor skating.

Probably tops out as a Cory Sarich type player, but a tiny bit more offensive upside.

From the times I've seen him, his skating has never bothered me. For a stay at home dman, I think he does more than adequate. But I'll admit, because he is very solid positionally and makes a good first pass I was probably a little generous listing that as one of his strong suites. But I wouldn't go as far as to say that his skating is an area of concern.

Mobility is so important in today's game regarding defensemen. At least if he was in the AHL, the Flames could be more hands on his development

Ma. Granlund scoring with a beautiful wrister at 2:27 of this vid. He now has two goals in two European trophy games. Some say he looks like he's grown some height.
