You can't get hold of a ticket without going to a tout, I think that's the problem.
I thought the Opening was awesome and I don't often care for the opening and closing ceremonies.

Beef Invictus gets cheated out of opportunity to legally watch gold medal fencing because NBC is idiotic.

But the Olympics aren't a total money-grab by everyone (besides the athletes).
Sorry. Cynical Me coming out.
I do enjoy the Olympics. I just can't stand the accompanying (and increasing) corporate-ness of the whole thing. Does the medal count really have to be sponsored by someone? It's just a ****ing tally of the medals won so far!!! For ****'s sake!!!

They have a sponsor for that?

I have no real problem with the sponsors to be honest to keep the cost of everything down

Winter Olympics are way better than summer. The opening ceremony was okay, I've seen better from prior olympics. The coverage this year on cable networks sucks big time I guess it's because of the 5 hour difference but the networks keep skipping events and don't show all the countries in the event they're showing. I have been watching both Canadian and US cable feeds and they're both the same.

16 year old swimmer who won the 4x100 medley..

Just watch the race

http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/swi...im-468291.html

She wins it by a lot and lowers her personal best by 6 or 7 seconds.. Which was set last year..

IOC says she was clean.. But I doubt it

Edit : she is the 5th lane.. Watch when it switches from breast stroke to free

I've been watching TSN, CTV and Sportsnet and the coverage has been excellent. Just wait till Sochi 2014 when the time zone difference is even bigger.

Can't watch NBC videos.

6-7 seconds is an absurd gap. There was another Chinese swimmer over the weekend who raised my eyebrow too.

ESPN.com Just ruined the Olympics Women's Gymnastics result for me.

Stay away from it if you plan on watching it.

I trust nothing with the Chinese competitors. But if they feel the supreme urge to flex their Olympic muscle - clean or not - then whatever floats their boat. The significance of winning Olympic gold over another World power has lessened since 1936, the Cold War, etc. I just feel sorry for the athletes whose lives they ruin in their lust for said Gold.

It's almost unheard of.. She beat Ryan Lochte's time on that last 100 meters

I feel like we should make a list of the attractive women that we've noticed so far in the Olympics

And ESPN.com had to tell me who won the team competition in Women's gymnastics... I hate NBC for tape delaying that until primetime on the US east coast....

It's "Joke in poor taste" time. Insert Ferrari joke about getting inside it, taking it for a ride, etc. It's all good, she's 21.
