I read somewhere that Collberg was open to go to the CHL next year. (2013-2014)

It might be the best way to initiate him to NA rinks and the speed, along with the long schedules played.

I wouldn't say lost year but let's wait and see how much ice time he gets. Eller got about 11 minutes per the above post when he was with the same organization, granted it was a little different since he was a 19 year old all season long whereas Collberg doesn't turn 19 till mid season. If he can get something close to that amoutn of ice time then I wouldn't call it a lost year.

Perhaps if he doesn't get much ice time he will get feed up and look to move to North America, but we'll see how things go for him next season.

Yes I saw the camp pairing and everything but I'm convinced it won't work out.
I don't disagree with you about his performance at ES of his offside but it's a mental maturity thing with Beaulieu. He's more comfortable on his natural leftside and was timid in his positioning and cautious with the gap control because he was not strong enough turning at fast speed onto his weaker leg yet. It's just natural for a young defenseman who hasn't been forced to play the offside from a early age to act this way. As Beaulieu matures his natural skating ability will allow him to play the offside more affectively but will struggle with it at the first.

Tinordi is a big man so it's way too difficult to even try to put him on his offside as there are so many other skating issues like balance, speed and pivoting on his good side never mind the offside. As he matures at the NHL level, it might be possible as he's a good skater now for a big man but for the most part players like Chara, Myers who are really tall like Tinordi don't play their offside except at times on the power play.

.
Playing in a top league is always a positive, but say he's stuck as a 13th forward possibly, how much could that hinder him ? On the other side, this might motivate him to work even harder to get his spot.

He can't join if he was not drafted before.

I always hate to see 18 year olds not get ice time, since imo it's highly important for them to get as much as possible so we'll see how it goes for him but hopefully he's not the 13th forward.

Great. It looks like Collberg injured his shoulder and will miss the camp for U20s

How likely is it that he could play in a lesser league? Whatever their
version of the minors is.

If he plays in the NHL at 220 that would be good. At least we know he
won't struggle to put on weight. But most often his weight at this age has
more to do with maturing earlier, than with eventual size.
Greg Pateryn may be a similar case. I don't know if he has put on any
weight since his draft day.

I like the ranking and I don't have any issues with Bournival at #6. He's probably the best skating forward of the Habs crop and excels in the defensive part of the game, which most people here don't give enough importance to.

He was indeed hurt.

But I've got to say I was unimpressed by Bournival's offense in the playoffs + memorial cup.

He doesn't have much creativity.

"Still, new Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin is convinced Galchenyuk has what it takes to become an NHL star. What convinced him?

'It was the look in his eyes,' Bergevin said."

That's one way to make decisions...

I have to call shawina- I mean shenanigans here. Bournival has plenty of creativity and I don't see how anyone can not have loved his Mem Cup. Dude is going to be a hell of a third liner who contributes offence, no doubt in my mind...

He already looks like a linebacker in football. Should def add to his frame since he's still so young.

It's possible depending on how things go, he spent a chunk of last season with the J20 (juniors) and 1 game with the J18 (juniors) But from what i've heard he should be a regular with Frolunda.

Didier should easily be at 220 as he'll have a few years to continue to fill out. Pateryn has filled out since his draft days, he's got a thick frame as well.

Well the poster said Q playoffs not Memorial Cup. I thought he looked good at the Memorial Cup for sure. I didn't see him in the Q playoffs but did hear he didn't look very good, perhaps it was related to the injury.

I know that scouts have raised concerns over his ability to create offense.
