You mean 4 out of 4? Christine Girard is as Ontarian as Dany Heatley is German.

Hopefully the GB womens team break from the tradition established by the men and avoid stumbling out the moment the words 'knock-out' and 'penalty shootout' start being mentioned.
.
The Canadian women team is pretty good actually. Not a favorite to win it all but they can play with any team. If I'm correct they're ranked 7th.

This is one time we are have to unite.

Those Quebecers who won medals are showcasing their Canadian colours proudly.

Stop with the language topic. Only warning.

Such an ignorant comment. I am Canadian so if a Canadian wins a medal I am proud of them.

Most quebecers won't give a damn for any ROC athlete getting a medal simply because they can't relate to them. It's hard to cheer for anyone in whom you don't particularly have sympathy for. Just like a belgian from Antwerp won't wet his pants after a dude from Liège snatches a gold medal

I read this on their site this morning.

"LONDRES - Les athlètes québécois ont volé la vedette en cette quatrième journée de compétitions aux Jeux olympiques de Londres en procurant trois médailles au Canada."

I see nothing wrong with that. If yesterday the three medals all came from B.C. or Alberta, I'm sure TSN would have pointed it out.

TSN pointed out that the 3 medalists yesterday were from Quebec.

And RDS said they won 3 medals for Canada. They didn't say they won 3 medals for Quebec.

Jeeze man, I'm the first to lambast RDS for their ethnocentric slant but there's nothing ethnocentric about that post.

Yeah, my bad. I guess I fell for that typical Canadian prejudice. I saw Heymans & Abel and thought ROC.

Silver medal for Canada in rowing Not from Quebecer

Despaties will have a shot at a medal in a few minutes at 3m synchro diving

Come on, gotta be proud when you see a local guy win a medal, but do not see much farther than that, they're all representing Canada.

Since when is "some" considered "most". Don't speak for the rest of us. I'm as Quebecois as can be and I care, so do most if not all the Quebecois I know.

I agree! I never watch volleyball of any sort on television except during the olympics. Heck, I never watch 95% of the sports being played except during the Olympics.

Have not really followed any of it I am not much of an Olympics fan I am proud of our athletes that do win medals but neither the winter nor summer games do much for me.

Oh, oh, i hear that people in Chicoutimi are absolutely ecstatic right now over the ROC boys silver medal in rowing. La ville est en liesse! Definately.

I find it amusing that you chose Chicoutimi as an example? What about the Quebecois in Montreal, or in Sherbooke or in Quebec City, or in Gatineau? Just because you chose a random town in Quebec, it doesn't prove your point. You might not care, but a lot do.

I'm not gonna get into a political argument with you,as this is an Olympics board. I just wanted to make the point that a lot of Quebecois care about how Canada fares during the Olympics. That's all.
