So McQuaid beating the piss out of Raffi Torres (and, admittedly, a lot of others) gives him the 10 spot? Then why is Thornton at 16 and Stanley Cup heroes Rich Peverley, Nathan Horton, and Chris Kelly at 13, 14, and 15 respectively?
Not hating on McQuaid, #10 just seems really, really high for a #6 defenseman.
Either way I'll take a top 3 defenseman in the league that leads both on and off the ice over a 60 point two-way center. Not to say Bergeron isn't important I just think Chara is way more valuable.
I agree. I think momentum had something to do with this as well. I was voting for Chara in the beginning, but once there were only 2 players left and Bergeron had better than a 2:1 lead over Chara, I started voted for Bergy to end it quicker.
I bet a poll would have them being very close if not have Chara ahead. And a point game with only these 2 players could have Chara winning as well. He's the best and most valuable player on the team.
