Rangers Prospect Poll: #10

Andrew Yogan won round 11 and Sam Noreau is added to the poll.

The prospects will be separated into 3 categories: the top-5 are the top prospects, the next 10 are the second-tier and the final-5 are the Projects & Suspects.

Don't forget to write who should be added to the poll.

TOP PROSPECTS

1. LW Chris Kreider
2. LW Carl Hagelin
3. C J.T. Miller
4. D Dylan McIlrath
5. RW Christian Thomas

SECOND TIER

6. RW Jesper Fast
7. D Brady Skjei
8. C Michael St. Croix
9. C Andrew Yogan

Andrew Yogan
Center
Born Dec 4 1991 -- Boca Raton, FL
Height 6.03 -- Weight 202 -- Shoots L

2011-12 Peterborough Petes OHL 66 41 37 78 96

"Yogan is another player with first round skills that will likely slip a bit in the draft. He’s a great skater for his size and has good offensive tools, although his finish is questionable."
- TheScoutingReport.org

"Andrew is a big, skilled power forward with soft hands and a great shot."
- Erie Otters head coach Robbie Ftorek

Voted for Nieves. He may still be very raw, but he has some potential. I also like him because our scouts tend to do very well in the second round.

Add Andersson.

I went McColgan who I think has a legitimate shot of making the NHL and making a nice impact.

Still going with Lindberg, who I think is the most likely of this bunch to take a regular shift in the NHL.

McColgan has the most overall potential of anyone on this list, but man, to watch him in juniors is to understand the word "frustration." He should be a player in the Callahan mold, but he doesn't work like a player in the Callahan mold.

Fogarty is a player who is a little further out, but he could really jump in the rankings as he goes up in competition. Good size, good creativity, reminds me a little of Zajac.

Man is Brady Skjei underrated at #7.

Nieves has a great set of wheels. But he has to show me has the hands and the hockey sense to compliment the speed before I am willing to rank him in the top 10. He's another guy who could go either way. This time next year he could be an afterthought, or he could be in the top 5.

Going with Lindberg. His FO% were RIDICULOUS against kids his age, and while I can't find his stats from the SEL i'm sure they're not too bad.

I think he has the potential to be a good 3rd line center.

Lindberg, add Andersson.

I could see Lindberg being a dark horse to take the 3rd/4th line center spot.

Love that we have two players that fit that description in Nieves and Fogarty. The Rangers need to keep taking guys like this - especially given where we're likely to draft the next couple of years.

This will probably be another tie-breaker round. Let's give it another 12 hours to see if someone can take the lead.

Went with Lindberg. Likely to not be a top 6 player, but has less bust potential with the tools he has.

Add Andersson.

It's a product of good drafting and good developing.

When you produce talent, it's easier to take flyers on guys who are a "hit or miss" kind of prospects.

Both Nieves and Fogarty fit that bill. Both have some very impressive talent, it's just too early to tell which way they will go.

There will also be some big changes by this time next year because Kreider and Hagelin will certainly not be on the list and we'll have a much clearer idea of how Thomas, McIlrath, Miller and Yogan look as prospects/pros.
