Or should i just take a chill pill and wait it out? it would be nice to get Stastny also but i don't see that happening. What does anyone else think that is going to happen? Really would like to hear what people think the Sabres are going to do with a trade or free agent.
Wait it out, its only mid july if a month from now still no moves then I would expect nothing...

Thanks guys. I will be back early August if nothing has happened by then.

Still wondering what type of move people think the Sabres will make. Will it be a trade? Or will we sign a free agent?

What would be better? To trade for Stastny. Or to bring in Arnott from free agency? Obviously to get Stastny we need to trade Stafford or plus which i would not want because of the chemistry he Ennis and Foligno have together. So if they brought in Arnott for a yr or 2 and let Grigs develop i would not mind making that move. Any thoughts?

Tyler Ennis: What do we think his contract will be?

Just curious. Thanks!

1-3 years deal 3 mill avg? 2.5,3.0,3.5?

What does everyone think, more/less?

I'm thinking 3 (maybe 2) years @ about 3 million. I was thinking closer to 2.5 but that number has probably gone up with the combination of cap increase/offseason contracts to date and his increased organizational importance. That's where his leverage is going to come from as his numbers thus far, as a whole, are not yet reflective of the importance he will brings to our offense over the course of the contract.

Hopefully we won't have to wait to find out, because the longer he (and Kaleta) sit out there as tendered RFAs, the longer my tiny bit of worry that someone will offer sheet him remains.

I think this might be the second or third thread for this exact same question.

Yesterday (Sunday, 7/16) was the deadline for restricted free agents to accept their qualifying offers unless they chose to extend the deadline.

Of course, we likely won't know if they actually rejected their offers, if they chose to extend them, or even if they accepted them for quite some time since this type of thing isn't really news here it seems.

Would you sign Andrei Kostitsyn if you had the chance?

Bruin fans are calling the writer names. I thought it was a good wright up. Seems they are just mad we have Ott now. Also they have big J. Scott to throw around any player that's thinks of trying anything dirty to the Sabres talented players. They just keep putting down the Sabres org. and sports writers. I was over there just checking out if they were thinking about signing any free agents and seen this. Why must they keep trash talking Buffalo? Are they worried?

Kostitsyn looked good in the playoffs against Detroit with 3 goals and 1 assist in 7 games. Also had 2 goals vs Boston in the playoffs in 2010. Seems like he does bring it in the playoffs. I guess he had off ice issues?

Kostitsyn becomes an unrestricted free agent on July 1 and while he has a lot of offensive talent, his off-ice activities likely burned another bridge in Nashville. He was suspended along with Alexander Radulov during the second round of the playoffs as both missed curfew. Stay tuned as it should be interesting to see which team is in need of some scoring and is willing to overlook his deficiencies.

Trolling, naive or intolerant? If you read Deadspin's Niagara Falls Columnist Is Really, Really Afraid Of Gay People In Hockey or the Niagara Gazette's Shedding light on the Vanguard, you'd probably grasp that the comments at wherever you're referencing have little do with our organization, but rather Palumbo's decision to write his opinion on homosexuality into a hockey article and/or his anonymous ramblings in a Lew-Port newsletter.

Including Pardy's $2M salary, we'd have $9,907,977 available ($11,907,977 if he's 'buried' in the AHL) with Ennis and Kaleta yet to sign.

With the roster I have in the OP (Foligno and Tropp on the team, Ellis and Pardy kept as spares), we have $9,395,477 remaining ($10,430,477 with bonus cushion).
One of those players will not stay on the roster though, as we'd be over the limit of 23 with all of them.

How do you think Carolina is going to do this year now that they have both Staal brothers and Semin now? Also does anyone think that the Sabres should try and get Arnott? Or does that not fit in good with the current lineup

Their defense still looks questionable.

http://thehockeywriters.com/if-no-do...-jason-arnott/

Any one else think Arnott would be a great addition for 1 or 2 yrs? At Height: 6-5
Weight: 220 Bottom 6 center?

If Doan wouldnt come why would Arnott?

I have accepted the fact Buffalo is one of the 2-3 places that NHL free agents dont want to go, and it will take more than a year to change that. I believe Pegula will.

I know but after those 2 free agent signings last year (Ehrhoff and Leino). And Regehr moving his ntc. I don't think that's 100% true. I guess Vancouver wants Arnott any way. So I'm done and just accepting the line up is what it is going into the season.

If your willing to go far above any other team in years or money, then Arnott would come here.

As expected, Colin Stuart is not returning to the Rochester Americans. He's opted to move across the Atlantic to ply his trade in Germany's DEL with the Iserlohn Roosters. [LINK]
