NHLers who wore glasses

Obviously, this is something not seen for several decades, but I was trying to think about which NHL players wore glasses on the ice...Hal Laycoe I think did. Any others?

there's that famous picture of Osgood putting on glasses in the middle of a game. I'm sure other posters can shed more light on the backstory to that.

Ya thats right. Actually blind as a bat out there, his defensive partners angling players into Tims tracks where he could smother them against the boards. Series of stick taps & shouted instructions. Wore big thick lensed horn rimmed glasses; nickname was Clark Kent. ... Al Arbour as mentioned, and Tony Esposito, though he wore contacts most of the time. Nightmare when one would pop out.

Dryden has forever worn glasses. Obviously he didn't on the ice but I wonder how poor his eyesight was without them. Maybe he could get by, maybe he wore contacts. Not sure.

Jarkko Ruutu. I am reasonably sure that I've also seen Saku Koivu with glasses...

Nothing major. A fan threw them on the ice and he put them on.

Glad you cleared that up. I never knew the story on it and thought that he might have worn them during his first season or two with the Wings.

Steve Carlson, who I believe did wear glasses while playing with the LA Kings.
