Isn't Wilson a year older than most NCAA rookies?

Either way, I would add Marcantuoni before Wilson , he has way more offensive upside.

Maybe a year older than most drafted NCAA rookies but we just signed Megna who was a 22 year old rookie. Either way what he did was impressive and his rookie year was better than Hanowski's sophmore year for example. Personally I'd add Wilson before Marcantuoni.

Yeah that's what I meant , should have been more clear.

Where do you guys think Megna ranks in the top 20, if at all?

Probably not at all, we should have a better idea once we've seen how he performs in WBS though.

Yeah, I wouldn't rank him ahead of any of the WBS guys yet, just as I wouldn't rank Blueger ahead of any of the top NCAA guys (Hanowski, Agostino, Wilson) -- gotta at least show something at the next level first, and they have so far.

This is my approach to, I mean Blueger and Marcantuoni haven't proven as much as Wilson at this stage in their careers so I would rank both below him right now even though they both were picked higher.

Macaroni is automatic Top 10. You better vote that way otherwise I'll change the poll results to fit the Macaroni world view.

He needs to get on the ballot before he can go top 10 .

Wasn't Kuhnhackl ranked in our top 10 his first year ? Not saying Marcantuoni should be in the top 10 , but I see him having the same offensive upside as Kuhnhackl did when he was drafted.

I think he should be in the top 15, but with the different criteria everyone is using its hard to predict.

I'd say our prospect pool is much stronger now than when we drafted Kuhnhackl though.

Oh it is, I'm just saying i think Macaroni's potential is just as high as Kuhnhackl's. No way Macaroni makes the top 10 now though.

He's there... you just can't see him because of the invisible pixel-ink.

coming from someone with a fairly unhealthy Sneep fixation, you better watch yourself before your Easy-Mac preoccupation turns into a full blown obsession.

Easy-Mac because he's fast. and he cooks. but not like Paul Martin.

Bortuzzo

Really surprised at the lack of respect Bortuzzo is getting right now.

I voted Tangradi for this spot, but Bortuzzo is neck-and-neck with him and is easily a top-10 prospect on this team. He is NHL ready, is huge, and has top-4 upside.

he's next for me too. was a tossup but honestly I think being a forward just bumped Big Dog up a spot in my head

I am very interested to see how these guys get used this year. With the current forward line-up I wouldn't mind seeing us carry 8 D with Strait Bortuzzo and Despres. Even role with 7 D fairly often early in the year to make sure the young guys all get some time.

I'm more suprised about the votes Teddy freakin Bleuger is getting. We hear he has good puck handling skills, and all of a sudden he's the next Pavel Datsyuk.

After Tangradi for me it comes Bortuzzo and then Strait. Both have the ability to be NHL players and a ready to be in the NHL next season. They may only be bottom pairing type guys or keep progressing and make it into the 4th spot. The rest of our prospects all have a lot more ?? marks and they all need AHL play at least. Bortuzzo and then Strait is the logical choice.
