6.9 free plus Ohlund on the LTIR for space... we've got over 10m free to add pieces. I like it.

Agreed on Yzerman. I haven't been impressed so far, not at all actually, but this offseason he did really good.

Bowman B-

Made a some improvements by subtraction, signed Oduya cheaply in comparison to the FA market, and significantly improved on SOD with Brookbank.

[QUOTE=HTT3;53090959]He offered Suter a contract, but when the word came out that Parise and Suter were a package deal, that pretty much ended that. That's almost $200 million dollars for two players for the next 13yrs. With the uncertainty of the next CBA, that is just crazy. Holland gets an A+ for not trying to overpay for both players. Wild will suffer, you'll see.

Or it could just be sour grapes? Seriously, the Wild have a ton of money coming off the books next summer (Bouchard, Cullen, Backstrom etc.) which means they will be below the cap even if the owners get everything they want (which they won't).

Besides even with the low dollar amount Suter and Parise are making in years 10-13 if they aren't effective players they will likely just retire and the cap hit will end. These guys have pride and if they aren't effective players when they are 38 years old they aren't going to hang on to collect a million or two extra.
