Defensemen for everyone!! At this rate, we'll be able to field a full defense for Rochester and our ECHL affiliate.

Gonna be a tough fight for the D-spots down in Rochester, but I think it's a decent signing, Biega is a very good character who can help the younger guys develop, but is still young enough to improve himself.

Not unexpected, but how many pro contracts is that now? The Sabres have to be close to the ceiling, if not at it.

I think we are still quite a bit away from it, last time I heard anything about it we were somewhere between 40 and 45 and we haven't added many players since then.

The Sabres issued a press release with no useful information .

They're at 46 with Ennis to sign and the four slide risks not counted (Armia, Catenacci, Girgensons, Grigorenko).

Wow, with all of them healthy we could have 7 D-men in the NHL and 7 in the AHL and still send down 4 players to the ECHL

After reading through this thread I can see not everyone had there coffee this morning
As for Biega, was it Denver where he went to college or am I confusing him with someone else?

I already took Fienhage out but didn't realize that Biega was in this list twice

Butler went to Denver. All three Biega brothers attended Harvard.

Biega is solid. Good depth on defense for the Amerks. Lots of competition.

How would your favorite D-lineup look now?

Yeah, I don't think he's ever going to step up from where he was around his junior year at Harvard, but he's a smart guy who has enough stick and foot skills to be a solid AHLer. He's a pro, deserved the letter last year.

As of now, I'll assume Pardy and McNabb start in Rochester.
Pardy-McNabb
Brennan-Pysyk
Finley-JGL
Biega
Crawford
Sciestel

That's an elite corps of D-Men, as much as Rochester lacks in proven scoring forwards, at least you should have one of the best blue-lines in the leagu
