Kuznetsov's KHL performance probably has something to do with it as well. Not to mention his far more impressive world championship performance.

You don't quite get it, do you?

The goalies in the NHL are going to be better, no doubt. But despite this universal flaw you see in the SEL's goalies, it's still a low scoring league.
Having more time to track the puck doesn't matter, they have a lot more openings. Either way, its a different style of goalies in the SEL and to say someones got a better shot when comparing the two is wrong.

Kuznetsov WOULD be the better player if he come to the NHL - that said, I'm not convinced he ever will.

It'll be an interesting bump in a few years since I'm pretty confident Silfverberg will be an NHL player while Kuznetsov could stick with the KHL.

Very interesting, but no question Kuznetsov is the better player today in my view. He's silly good.

why do people act like good players don't play outside of the nhl. playing in the nhl wont make kuznetsov any better or worse, he'll still be the same player.

Kuznetsov is just so so dominant when he is on if he is able to translate that play to the NHL I think he takes the edge.

Well that's just not true. Playing against the best sharpens your abilities, it's easy to get rusty or to develop non-ideally if you aren't playing against players of your calibre.

He's staying in Russia to make sure he'll be able to play in the Sochi Olympics. I guarantee he comes over after that.

Im sure before he signed his new KHL contract people were guaranteeing he'd be in the NHL in the upcoming season.

There are two sides to this coin son, you can't celebrate one side while ignoring the other.

And I'm looking at the shot itself, not how many goals he's scored. He's got an outstanding shot, whether he's shooting on a peewee goalie or a Hall of Famer.

Anyone can say any pro goalie should have stopped a goal from that far off. But then, either way, what an impressive shot....pretty well in traffic, quick release, and holy powerful.

Or for another reference, see: Anyone of his shootout goals.

This guy stays pretty deep in his net... he must suck too.

In all seriousness, MOO was talking about how many of the shots were off the cross bar and in (hence picking a perfect spot) and how the goalies just didn't even seem to have time to react (quick release).
