I used to be into classic rock more, mostly the Beatles and Pink Floyd. Went through a metal phase with Metallica, Megadeth and Iron Maiden. Moved on to alternative now.

Current bands on my Pandora 24/7:
Nirvana
Foo Fighters
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Green Day
Weezer
Sublime
Slightly Stoopid

Favorite band of all time has to be Led Zeppelin though.

I'll count this as OT considering he doesn't play hockey any more. I literally "bumped into" Sean Avery the other day. I was walking past his bar, he was outside goofing around with some chicks, and he stepped back and bumped into me.

I was quite surprised when he turned around and apologized.

EDIT: Oh, and hooray for the return of the magical OT thread!

I LOVE Sublime. Definitely in my top-5 bands/singers.

Do you like Rage Against the Machine?

RATM is great. Used to be huge into Punk rock and classic rock but lately I've been big into hip-hop.

Gonna go to either there or NYU next year. If Seton Hall gives me a lot of money I'd consider it. Which reminds me, I should write my common app essay soon.

Audioslave is probably a top-10, maybe top-5 band for me. I love them.

Soundgarden I'm fine with. Love Black Hole Sun obviously, don't know much of their other stuff. Although I have a Soundgarden T-shirt.

I'm fairly certain I will be applying there this fall. Going for business/accounting. I've heard nothing but great things about the program. I'm hoping for a decent scholarship though, or else I'll probably look towards a SUNY. Can't beat the tuition.

Crossing my fingers for Cornell, early decision

Listening to Dark Side of the Moon right now - whole album. I could listen to Pink Floyd ALL DAY and never get tired of them.
Did you see them at Yankee Stadium?

I've been on a Chris Cornell kick as of late, his latest solo/acoustic album ("Songbook") has been on repeat for a minute now. Definitely one of the best songwriters of the past generation.

Hard for me to say.

It probably goes:

1. Dark Side of the Moon
2. Wish You Were Here
3. Animals
4. Obscured by Clouds
5. The Wall

More of a Gilmour fan. I'm pretty much the stereotypical stoner-type, though, so I love ALL Pink Floyd.

One thing: can't talk about drugs or anything like that here. Just mentioning it so it doesn't come up later.

Unfortunately have never seen them in concert. I don't really have the money for concerts. :/

Very solid. That's where I see myself ending up. NYU's notoriously cheap and the options around here for Sports Management are kinda limited.

Obscured by Clouds is criminally underrated. "Wot's .. Uh the Deal" might be my favorite Floyd song.

Yeah NYU probably won't give you anything unless you're like a prodigy or something.

That's a great song.

Goodbye Blue Sky is, without a doubt, my favorite Floyd song. Short, but good god is it great. Really powerful. The music video is awesome, too.

Some of their underrated stuff is the best. Young Lust, Mother, High Hopes, See Emily Play, and all of Obscured by Clouds are amazing.

I think I'm the only one who isn't interested in The Dark Knight trilogy.

WHAT.

They made Superhero movies respectable again.

Bane and The Joker are two of the greatest villain performances ever. Two-Face is solid.

And if you like the Spiderman trilogy I may have to reach through the computer and castrate you.

Anyone here have kids who play hockey? I'd love to hear your opinions on some of the programs/organizations in the area.

I hate the Spiderman movies. I watched the movies when they came out and it just didn't appeal to me. I have no idea why. I'm gonna give it another chance and watch the first one again. I do however, love the Iron Man series.
