It's early – he's still not a lock for the team – but my gut says Huberdeau wins the Calder in 2012-13.

Way too early!
Waste of a thread!
Let's wait until we get there!
He's not even on the roster yet!
Anyways, I'm not sure what other possible rookies there might be, but I hope Huberdeau is in the running. He seems pretty cool and collected on the ice and interviews, so I hope he starts off strong his rookie year.
I think Huberdeau has a long shot at the Calder. Possible, but not likely.
Honestly I'd be perfectly satisfied with a 40+ point rookie campaign from him. That'd pretty much replace the loss of Samuelsson on the second line and would bode well for his future once he adds strength and experience.

Baertschi, Schultz, Yakupov, Granlund, Huberdeau, and Tarasenko all probably have great shots. Beyond them there are probably 5-10 guys I'm forgetting who are also awesome.

Is Kuznetsov playing this season? And what about Zibs?
I dont care if Huberdeau wins the Calder or not, I just want some of our prospects to become more than disappointments. I remember Frolik was going to be a great player, or Shvidki, or this one, or that one, but they just leave us disappointed, wanted more. If we want to have a successful, let alone, team in South Florida we MUST hit a home run with a few of our prospects.

This season will tell, but I think we've hit the mark with Gudbranson. Kulikov is also a sexy beast.

Ture, but we havent seen Huberdeau, Jugs, Howden, etc. make the club, and contribute, yet. Its crucial to the future success of this team that these top prospects become more than a Weiss for us, or a Horton. We need one of them to become that 80+ point forward, because we know, at this moment, that high end forward will not be a Panther via free agency.
