Yup and Prospal is a left winger, Foligno is a left winger and Brassard probably isn't a center as he can't win faceoffs.

Their starting goaltender is probably Sergei Bobrobsky.

Rick Nash really is Heatley. Our offer could have easily topped that, but he wants to go the Rangers? Hope it's a match made in hell.

ot, but i'm not sure where to put this. Thought of posting on the mainboard but that would just start a ****show.

Dany Heatley and Phil Kessel are both UFA in 2014. Kessel is from madison, wisconsin and played for the minnesota golden gophers in college.

anyone think minnesota replaces the aging heatley with kessel?

It's possible. Kessel doesn't really strike me as the kind of guy who is really into his alma mater though.

All the major media outlets are reporting Anisimov, Dubinsky, Erixon and a 1st...according to my sources, Nathan MacKinnon is also going to the Blue Jackets.

My sources tell me Howson was asking for the most coveted Rangers' asset, Glen Sather's ability to fleece other teams via trade, but after a three minute phone call had instead tentatively agreed to toss Ryan Johansen into the package to 'upgrade' Erixon to Wade Redden.

Former Sen Alexandre Picard has signed to play in the KHL this year. Good luck and be sure to pack a lunch.

I feel really bad for Foligno, having to play in that cluster**** of a team.

How does Sather manage to rip all of these GM's off in trades? Our rumoured packaged of Zibby, Lehner, Foligno + is a much better deal than the one they got from New York. It makes me kind of mad we had to give up Foligno to get Methot. If Sather was our GM, he would have got Methot for Condra.

Oh yeah, Howson is terribad.

Quite useless... I can't see him get his 7.5m a season with another club.

the longer this goes on the more i feel he's just been angling the whole time to get maloney to offer him more.

if he was willing to leave phoenix, i think he would've already.

Apparently Shane Doan is expected to sign this week, and the NHLPA's counter offer could come as early as today.

I don't think it is... from what I gather, Fehr's stated he won't make a counteroffer until the PA's auditors have finished reviewing every NHL team's financial documents. The PA just received the first 76 000 pages of team financials on July 31st (at most it's 1/3 of the documents requested).

Pretty surprising how long it's taking Doan to sign.

And NHLPA counter offer this week? OH boy, things could get real interesting real quick....
