Coach Q @ the bdubs in Willowbrook

Very nice guy!

I was sitting @ a table near the bar and some guy was standing almost over me waiting for a table (it was packed) and it was coach Q. I was with a table full of girls and told two in particular to go throw their boobs in his face and get a picture, which they did.

He then said Hello to everyone @ my table and gave me a funny wink.

His mustache looks better in real life and he didn't look so grumpy!

Not really much of a story and I didn't take any pictures since I am not a hardcore fan, but I often hear that hockey players are very down to earth and approachable and it seems that perceived notion is true. Not many people recognized him.

We just met Coach Q at prospects camp a few weeks back. He was up in the stands with other staff and we approached him so our kids could meet him and get his autograph. He was very nice and chatted with us for a couple minutes, told my young son it was great he is playing hockey, and said our infant twin girls were cute. He signed the kids' hats. They thought it was the coolest thing!

Hopefully he didn't drive home.

he seems, on a personal level, to be a pretty nice guy...although i'm basing this off his interactions with Joey the Junior Reporter in the video clips.

Did you tell him despite being one of the winningest coaches in franchise history that he sucks at coaching?

This suddenly reminds me of a time when I was driving in Schaumburg and saw someone with a Blackhawks license plate that just said "COACH Q."

I'd like to think that that was honestly the coach....

Then again, I also saw someone just yesterday with a Hawks plate that said "SPQR," but I doubt he was a Roman legionnaire.

that's something I don't think any sane guy will say. He IS a good coach. It just looks like that he isn't a good fit to our team anymore. I think there is a difference in this. I just think our team needs a new coach. I would want a younger coach that already has some expierence. Replacing him with Dave Lewis would be stupid, that's for sure.

I wouldn't have a problem asking him about Bowman. He probably wouldn't give an honest answer though.
