I would really love to see the CBJ do something like "Oil Change" that covers the Edmonton Oilers. That is the best behind the scenes hockey show on TV.
Didn't really feel any sense of loss as a fan about the trade until I saw that. Very cool.

That for me is 100% the toughest part about losing Nash. His production on ice can be replaced, but he can't. It's gonna be tough not seeing Nash in a Columbus uniform anymore, he's a rare person, sad to see him go, as the community will severely miss his contributions, especially off the ice.
Yeah, I think that for a lot of us, letting go of Rick Nash the person is harder than letting go of Rick Nash the player.
For real. I truly hope that if someone dares boo him on his return games that person is soundly lashed with a wet noodle by everyone sitting around them.
No wonder why Ohio is a swing state. One little thank you and you're all
Listen - Nash, our "captain". Was overpaid to stay in Columbus, additionally was given a NTC. HE demanded a trade, and limited it to only 5 teams. Taking all of the leverage away from the CBJ. If you think he did us any favors in the negotiations you're mistaken.
Thankfully, Howson was able to get a decent return when he hardly had a leg to stand on.
The entire hockey community is blessed with gifted individuals who offer community service. His will be replaced just as much as his production will be.
Just fyi - I'm not saying we weren't lucky to have him.

So?
Doesn't mean he can't be thankful for his time here and doesn't mean fans can't be as well. Certainly doesn't mean fans can't be thankful for his thankfulness.

I appreciate he did that. I really do. It was quite nice of him. I don't recall LeBron doing anything that when he left Cleveland.
However, can we move on now? Rick Nash is gone. I prefer to focus on the 23 guys wearing the jersey this coming season. I'm not going to continue dwelling on the past and former members of this team. It was painful enough the first time I lived it.
Rick was much more beloved than Zherdev, and it took the collective "us" a while to move on completely from him. Nikki playing his way out of the league probably helped this closure come about a lot faster, though.
In a way, I don't see this forum ever truly moving on from Rick Nash.
