Add Bourque. I'm very concerned about his health, but he had an excellent Traverse and preseason last year. Let's hope he can build up his strength and become a solid bottom-6.
Boo. Add Ceresnak. Maybe I'll vote to add Bourque once he shows he's not a mush brain (which won't happen since he's one concussion away from retirement) or that he gained a bit of strength (since my pomeranian could take the puck away from him).

While I don't disagree with you about Bourque, I still think he's a lot more likely to make an impact, even if modest, in the NHL than Ceresnak is. Bourque isn't too far off from being a decent bottom-six option. Ceresnak is a long way away from being at even Stu Bickel's level.

You vastly overrated Bourque (who couldn't even handle the AHL grind) and underrate Ceresnak (who is much improved from when he was drafted).
Both are marginal prospects at best, but at least Ceresnak isn't injury prone and weak. Really -- it's not hyperbole to say that Bourque is one hit away from retirement.

Yep. There is now a HUGE cliff after Boo. It's amazing how big of a cliff it is, too. But that's what we get for doing well and developing players. They are all graduating.
I really can't believe this isn't unanimous for Boo. The drop off is that huge after him that it should be unanimous.

A 5'8'' guy with concussion problems--not someone you want playing a bottom 6 role. I'm afraid that there won't be any role for Bourque in our organization. Not entirely his fault--it's just the way things have worked out.

I think there are still a few players who can have a NHL future (McColgan, Noreau, Andersson). I am pretty high on the first 2. Will they light the world on fire? Probably not. But McColgan looked very good in camp last year, which to me normally means his style of play will translate well and Noreau is the type of player who keeps his game VERY simple and brings an edge to any team he plays on. For a player like that, as long as he doesn't run into any major injuries, they can normally carve out a role like Erskine or Bickel or Strudwick.

I think there is some hope/believe that if McColgan can get his act together that he might be a perfect fit for this team.

Like you said, we're talking about marginal prospects here. I know Ceresnak improved from where he was at Traverse City but he is still a long way from making any sort of NHL impact. If Bourque can play even 30 NHL games I think that's very likely going to be more than Ceresnak ever will accomplish.
