My wife and I will be there.

I need to buy my own skates sometime soon so I can finally skate on the Bridgestone ice.

One of his last game used sticks to sell at auction went for over $550.

They're not priced that way for the sale. My son has several used sticks from a variety of players and they were all priced between $50.00 to $75.00. I've never seen anything overpriced just because a particular player has used it.

Most used sticks at the sale have been practice rather than game used sticks ... at least when I went. It's an assumption that they will have a truly game used Rinne stick to begin with ... provenance isn't great at the used equipment sales.

I'm going to try and attend open hockey. I'll be at work for everything else though.

We ended up buying two barely used Predators gear bags at the sale today. My wife is going to use hers as a dive gear bag...and honestly, I might do the same since they are so damn neat!!! The colors are navy Blue/gray (3rd jersey colors)....they look like they were only used only a couple of times. $100 each. They had several in the traditional blue/gold colors but they were much more worn and dirty. SCORE!

I usually buy the new ones anyway. This year a brand new Easton Mako for 125.00. Listed at 229.00 on hockeymonkey.com. My son has 2 new and 2 used Bauers (various models) for a total of 300.00 for the 4. So that's 425.00 for nearly 1000.00 worth of hockey sticks.
Thanks Preds.

I've picked up skates dirt cheap at used equipment sales too. Too many teams are starting to catch on that they can sell star player marked items for a premium price and get away with it, especially if they can market them as "game used"
