I get your point, but there's a much better chance of a 19 inning game decided on one of the worst calls in history being a season killer than a 5th inning DP.

Yeah... you aren't going to sell me that the at-bat is a season ender when we are 16 games above .500 playing the hottest team in the league. You can throw whatever argument you want at me, you just won't sell it. There are tons of games left and I've heard the same **** a bunch of times. This team has battled back.
