I had Dish for about 8 months. Living in VT, I can say I only had one issue with it. Snow/rain never screwed it up, but one day there was a huge, and I mean huge, gust of wind that slightly moved the satellite on the roof, screwing up reception. A repair guy came, adjusted it, and it was fine. Never had a problem with it.
Also, being in VT, FIOS isn't an option. You're pretty much looking at Comcast for cable, or Dish/Directv, there really isn't anything else.
I just got back from summer classes less than a week ago and I loved it. The campus is beautiful and the student body and school pride is what really sold me on the school. I wouldn't recommend going to visit this month though. They're doing a ton of construction and everything is being torn apart and most of the campus is closed off. If you do go, just know its like 100x nicer without the construction. I'd recommend going to visit in the fall and going to catch a basketball game after.
We can catch some Ranger-Flyer games if you do wind up going to Nova next year.
Well I already booked my tour, but I will definitely visit again if/when I get accepted and decide from there.
With regards to school spirit, I checked out UConn about a month ago and I really loved the atmosphere. I expect Nova to be pretty similar, if not better. Big East basketball is always crazy.
Anybody know if Ice Time Sports Complex in Hudson Valley is still running? I started playing hockey there when I was 3, and played my first couple of years of travel hockey for the Polar Bears back in 97-05 until I moved to Florida. I heard it closed, any truth?
my parents have Fios, and the apt that Im moving into 9 blocks away doesn't. The best I think I can do is this package:
Verizon Triple Play
Call Forwarding - Busy/Don't Answer
Caller ID (Anonymous Call Block Not Included)
OnePoint Voice Mail
High Speed Internet Enhanced
1.1 to 3 Mbps
