In my opinion too young is very risky...only a few youngsters can step into a big role right away. Fantasy wise guys in their prime is the safest option.

Once the Yahoo league is up you can check their position eligibility, but I'm almost certain Laich is C/LW

Took Matt Read. Hopefully his first full season is an indicator of good things to come.

Took Tomas Plekanec. I think he is one of the remaining 1B Centers left. Besides, I may trade him for other areas where I'm lacking.

Read could be a steal of a pick. Crawford is another potential steal, but with all the rumours surrounding Loungo going to the Blackhawks, I didn't want to risk selecting Crawford, hence I took Dubnyk. Not that I think the Nucks would help the Hawks out, but it tells me that the Hawks aren't confident in Crawford.

I think I finally have the steal I was looking for. Alfredsson is consitently healthy, he's training with Karlsson, and he does everything on the ice, including putting up good points.

Best of all, I didn't have to waste a keeper on him.

Was thinking of taking Alfie. Got scared away because its hard to say if his age will catch up with him.

Great pick though.

Well I thought he was going to retire, but when he announced that he's returning, I read an article that said his surgery went fine, he's healthy and training hard and his body can take another season. He had 59 points last year while having "sleepless nights" having a baby, needing back surgery, and starting the season with a poor Sens record. Maybe age will catch up with him, but I'm sure he's good for at least 50pts, and at this stage in the draft, a certainty of 50pts is hard to come by.

Not much activity since my pick. Why does this happen every weekend?

I gotta say though, without this fantasy league, it would be one boring summer on these boards.

St.Louis is worse than us activity wise.

But yeah, the weekends always go slow. We still got 6-7 picks done today though!

Not a bad pick but too early for him IMO, especially with the move to Buffalo... he and Scott will play their game but the team style of Buffalo made me feel that he'll see a downplay in production.
Not to say anything bad actually, he was on my radar too. Prefer him on Dallas though.

There is truth to that for sure. He'll most likely see 3rd line duty with Leino and Pominville so I'm hoping he'll help Leino not be a ***** and bounce back. I really went with him for the hits anything else he brings is a bonus.

Since when was Pomminville a 3rd liner?

He's not but I see Foligno and Tropp bumping him down to spread out the offence.

Really? Lots of players left, depending on the category of focus. And then there's the prospect draft with plenty of top six/four potential.

Most of the top prospects have been taken already lol.

Grigs, Gally and Yak. The others likely won't play this year so I'm assuming he meant his list of roster player
