-Selfish Man is up. He has until 2:53PM to select as I believe he hasn't missed a clock yet.
-Hobnobs is quitting the draft for the second time due to a second unknown offense that seventieslord has committed.
-Multiple people are attempting to convince Hobnobs to stay. Personally I won't be among them because this is the second time it's happened in like 2 weeks.
-After Selfish Man, Hobnobs/unknown GM/who knows is up again, meaning we should have resolution to this sometime soon.

Terrific, thanks. Without knowing the particulars, I'll refrain from comment...
personally I think quitting the draft without even finishing your line-up should be an insta ban for a year in all drafts.
This is disrespectful towards the group to ''punish'' everybody because of a beef with one person who isn't suppose to officially have any more power than any other member.Seventieslord is known for his great knowledge , but he isn't the commish , he isn't the president of the ATD , he is just one of the group so why should you quit the whole thing just for him? If he did was the boss of something , then showing your discontent with the leadership in place could be an argument , but it is not at the moment. The only power he has is as a moderator , and as a guy who received my share of warnings and infractions , he never striked me as the type who would go out of his way to use his moderating power. After all he's no vecens24 ( just kidding vecens24 )
This is childish and uncalled for , especially since nobody is even aware of what seventieslord supposely did.
At least pick your last players then abandon your team for the playoff to its own destiny.

Lol good one. I almost infracted you just to mess with you after this post haha.
If you need somebody to fill in, I can finish out the roster.
Thanks a lot Billy.
You're actually on the clock now if you want to go ahead and make a selection. You can wait for confirmation from Hobnobs or something I guess, but I can't see any reason for anyone to have an issue with you filling in.

That's a good pick. I was really surprised to see Billy Breen drafted ahead of him, but I'd be interested to hear the justification
Especially by me (and BBS of course) of all people!
We feel pretty confident Breen was better offensively than McGimsie. The stats are something that BBS is goign to have to post because I apparently deleted them from my inbox. But I remember being convinced and coming to the conclusion that Breen was better offensively at least.

Making me dig through PMs
I'll edit it in shortly but the cliffnotes are he led the league in scoring five times and had lesser teammates than McGimsie, Bain, Scanlan etc.
Breen also produced against the Silver Seven when his Rowing Club squad faced them in '04 so it's not like he was just racking the numbers up against the Manitobans. He was also their captain but that wasn't a consideration when comparing to McGimsie. Basically I think Iain Fyffe was spot on when he called Breen underrated in that HoH thread.

Breen also played in the decade right after Young so his only downside was being in Manitoba rather than out east.

Add me to the list of people who have no idea what I did to make Hobnobs upset.
If I had to venture a guess, it is that I did absolutely nothing, he just wanted to quit, and figured he'd say I did something in an attempt to smear me.... just thinking out loud here..... ?
Either that, or he really, really, really wanted Barry Gibbs.
Yeah, I have to agree with BBS. Breen played longer, appeared to be a more prolific score despite not having Tom Phillips on his line, and had (some) value as a checker.
McGimsie is a guy I ran out of room for (I see him as a top-6 or bust player) but would have been very high on my list for the AAA (or maybe as a spare)
