no, ctv was tennis and is now cycling. i didn't see it on nbc or tsn either maybe nbc will show it prime time??
NBC shows almost all the gymnastics in prime-time since it's a huge draw with the casual female demographic (i.e. not the type who are likely to be watching sports in the middle of the day on specialty cable channels or streaming it online).
Another unexpected GOLD for Izbasa after upsetting the gymnastic world in Beijing taking the gold medal on floor.
Part of the blame goes to Maroney: she was amazing on the first vault and had already the gold on her neck: why not choosing a "safer" second vault like all the other gymnasts? It's not like she had to risk because of the score.
She probably is the best gymnast at vault and one of the worst in tactic.
Sad to see the legendary Oksana Chusovitina ending up only fifth: at 37 she is still one of the best in this particular apparatus and I thought she could finish her career with yet another medal. Oh well, congrats on an amazing run anyway
I cannot fathom a Canadian athlete pouting on the podium and crossing his or her arms over her medal after winning any medal. That is poor sportsmanship and all out disgusting.

Here behaviour was a little odd. i could understand looking glum...but the covering the medal is weird.
The Russian covers her medal in that picture, but no hate for her because she's not a Yank eh?
I'm not hating on McKayla. I said it was odd...that's all. And it looks like the russian is holding flowers that happen to be in front of the medal...that's why you can't see it. mckayla looks like she's actually trying to cover up the medal...and i don't get why.
Geez dude, she's 16 and lost gold. Get off your high horse
She didn't lose gold she fell on her ass. She made a mistake. You win gold. You win silver. You win Bronze. The gold is not yours to lose. A high horse would be assuming you are entitled to a gold medal.
