You can add Lion pizza out here on the west-island to the list
very close to "montreal" style
but for the life of me i don't understand why they need to dust the crust

I heard of that place. On my list. It looks like the chipotles or five guys of pizza.

But today, today I want a montreal style pizza sprinkled with crushed chili peppers and a diet soda on the side.

I want a big ol rude hairy chested guy with a dirty moustache who looks like he hasnt showered in a month to make me a nice greasy pizza.

It's the best Neapolitan style pizza in Montreal IMO. Quality and fresh ingredients and two huge wood burning ovens inside.

Inexpensive too.

You must trying bianca funghi pizza with an egg on it.

There's that 99c place on the east side of Crescent. Pretty much what you described.

On de la montagne? Edit: I read east of crescent. This place must be the one just past hurleys.

I appreciate your contribution but 99 cent pizza are not made by big old greasy moustache people.

Those are made by slender middle eastern build men that hire really attractive women at the cash.

The pizza maker I'm referring to only hires his equally butch sister or cousin.

Waiting for my pizza at Miss Jean Talon...used to be a TMR (that's an area of MTL for the out of town folks) fave heart attack in a box when I used to live in the area. So far its classic montreal pizza experience minus the moustache

I hope your pizza isn't drenched in the sauce as this one is (from their website)

The BEST Montreal style pizza I've ever had is at Jacques Cartier Pizza on Cure Poirier in Longueuil. I always go there when I'm in town. No wonder they have awards all over the place when you go in.

As for Ontario, there's really nothing close to Montreal pizza. Maybe if you order extra sauce and cheese from Pizza Nova, it might come close, otherwise you have to go to the whole in the wall places that Quebec ex pats have opened up. Still haven't found one that's close to comparing.

Come down to Windsor ontario we have the best pizza in North America, no kidding. No matter the style we have it. We even had one of our "average" pizza makers go to Vegas and they came in third. Also had the story about someone paying 138 bucks to have a Windsor Pizza shipped to Sask for Superbowl Sunday.

You're looking for Pizza St Henri on St-Jacques, next to St-Henri metro.

The best pizza I've had is from Piecasso's in Stowe Vermont. I don't know what it is, must be something in the water there, but the crust is incredible. Nothing like it in Montreal, just something about the texture.

And the miss jean Talon results are in

Plus: Big guy minus the stache but extra points for the 80s feel and Greek flag.

Since I live on the wild side I asked them to make it half their traditional way (pepperoni underneath) and other half on top.

http://m.imgur.com/JUdytwv

The result was very satisfactory either way.

How can I explain it other than it tasted salty and sweaty as if it was sitting in guillaume latendresse's jock strap since his rookie season without the pubes.

This is actually a positive.

They could have crisped it a bit longer.. And if you don't eat with a fork and knife it will all fall on your lap.

Miss JT was my place of choice many years ago when I lived in TMR. Glad to see it's still around, nothing like the insanely delicious greasy ass cheese diarrhea pizza.

When you use too many adjectives, my brain sort of want to put a separator in there... so I went on and corrected your post.

Best I've had is the all-dressed at Di Menna Restaurant. I always order take-out (enjoy a 20% discount by paying cash at the counter). I ask for well done and filled out to the crust and they never disappoint.

It's a hop and skip away from Jarry Smoked Meat.

A lethal duo.

Thats not true at all. Anyone can "make" the best pizza... It doesn't have to be in Italy. Origin or where the product was popularized has no bearing over the quality of the product produced elsewhere. It's like saying China is the best country car building-wise because they had the first ever automobile. (Documented.)

Deep dish pizza sucks worse than beets and broccoli.

North Americans have butchered pizza.
