I have to call shawina- I mean shenanigans here. Bournival has plenty of creativity and I don't see how anyone can not have loved his Mem Cup. Dude is going to be a hell of a third liner who contributes offence, no doubt in my mind...
I didn't say I didn't like his memorial cup. I said I came out unimpressed by his offensive play. He got outplayed in that department by both Chaput and Zlobin. For the rest, he did a very good job.
Maybe it was because he was getting checked more than the others, I don't really know. All I know is that he was way more dominant during the year than in the playoffs and the memorial cup, and that might have been because he was playing against weaker teams in regular season, while in the playoffs/mem cup, the caliber is on another level.
It made me lower my expectations offensively for him. I used to have him up there with Leblanc. Now there's a significant step between Louis' offensive game and Michaël's to me.
Something of note and possibly inaccurate or outdated, but on the USA roster it has Galchenyuk listed at 6 ft 198 pounds. I heard he was more like 6'1.5?
If yes, will you write a little review like you often do ?
Not sure if I will but if I do I would likely do a write up. Have been on vacation from my website but should get back to work at some point this month.

Too bad as I was hoping he'd make it for the exposure, since this is the last year he can make the WJC's since he's a late birth date.

Watching him at the development camp, he looks more 6'1.5 to me, although he appears to skate very upright so that could make him look a hair taller then he is perhaps.

I think that plays a lot into it. He's very square when he skates.
The extra inch doesn't matter anyway, guys like Richards and Brown, who are 6'0, are some of the most physical talented players in the league.
Not really shutdown. More secondary scoring against weaker opposition. Jenner is offensively useless and pretty physical though so I wonder how that line is gonna work out.
Surprised to see Monahan this low. He's better than Scheifele even if he's way younger.

Just a little thought here about a Power Forward for the near future to replace Cole in 3-4 yrs.I'm Bullish on Budish even though he's had a couple of knee surgeries and he's only 21 yrs.old, most of us here know who Zach Budish is and @ 6'3" and 225 lbs. this Nashville 2nd (41st)rounder could be easily obtained while still in Univ.of Minn. before he starts to glow to brightly.I have been pushing for the Habs to sign some players like him to aid the smaller forwards like Gionta,Gallagher and Collberg.Good Idea IMHO.

It is amazing that you are more aware of his potential than David Poile is........
Yes that's the bruins Axelsson and his brother. Maybe he'll take Sundstrom's spot.
So I needn't have worried that a shoulder injury would impair the
start of his season, and therefore maybe his ice time. Good to hear.
( Oh, I was thinking of Collberg)
