Jack Johnson...i think he's more of a pseudo tough guy, along the lines of he'll throw, but only if its a guy his size(or Gabriel Landeskog). Tyutin is a punching bag the 2 times a year he does drop em. Basically we're a tough team, but only in the bottom six, and the Jackets tough guys aren't necessarily a deterrent to begin with(especially last year).
This is exactly what I was saying. I guess the raw numbers and fight totals seem like the Jackets are tougher than they actually are at firest glance. Dorsett putting up 20 fights isnt even a deterrent to Detroit last year and they were as soft as can be. Boll is pretty tough I agree but still not a scary heavyweight. Columbus just has 2 mediocre (in their weight class) fighters that are extremely active.

Wiz is very tough though I agree and probably the toughest of the bunch

I'm looking at the stars, jets, Columbus and Carolina. Nystrom the only semi tough guy in your lineup is pretty weak. And you know its bad when a wings fan calls out the toughness of your team lol.
Um columbus is actually quite tough. Boll and Dorsette is a nice 1-2. If Boller decides to stay healthy.

The Canes are horribly soft again, Gleason is the only one willing to drop them once in a blue moon.

I would not be surprised to see Vandy, Winchester, and Rosehill land 1 year deals in August. They will atleast get a try out if the latter dont happen. Other than that there are not many FA enforcers with NHL experience on the market. Plenty of AHLers though.

Well yes, but I disagree with how soft you think they are. I think Dorsett could easily take Abdelkader, and Boll has fought and beaten better fighters than Ericsson. I mean he(Johnathan) is really not that good of a fighter, and Boll had a bad year, but he has wins against Lucic, Barch, Crombeen, Mclaren, Rupp, Parros, Bissonette, Mccleod, Gleason, Murray, Tootoo. He wouldnt dominate but I would not put money on Ericsson

When I said I thought they were soft I guess I wasnt thinking because theyre not really soft. But their totals are definitely inflated by bad fighters. The wings totals are down but have guys who when willing can go better then them.

Tootoo and Boll are pretty close with a couple scraps as proof, Ericcson tuned Dorsett last year, Bertuzzi would be able to beat him up and I tihnk he and Abdelkader would be close. Dorsett has all the heart in the world but putting up 20 fights and losing 15 makes the numbers really look different then how tough your team should actually be considered.

2 of the most active but mediocre fighters in the league. Boll is solid but Dorsett is definitely mediocre, if not bad

Add Bouillon to that list, he will drop the gloves from time to time. Also, Rene Bourque, although many say he is soft, he can also drop them from time to time.

Only Engelland will be a regular in the NHL

Bourque and Bouillon don't fight enough to be considered. Both can, but Bouillon does it the odd time and Bourque seems to only do it if he's forced too.

Subban is more of a "fighter" than Bourque and Bouillon, really.

Zach Sill might get a spot on the roster, Steve MacIntyre won't be regular but he'll play some games this season.

No those other guys can actually throw down. As much as it pains me to say...Subban sucks to fight. That fight last year against Marchand was hilariously bad.

That's why I put fighter in quotations.

Bourque and Bouillon are way better, but Subban does it more often... Which he shouldn't do at all.

He appears to be trying to knock out the entire population of the universe with one punch.

Unfortunately it takes 15 years for him to wind up.

What i got from the Sill vid is that the Pens announcers are just as bad in the AHL.

Because of the lock-out, I added the players who are in the minors
