That would be amazing, but don't count on it.

Would enrage the NHLPA.

Besides, as a fan of the broader sport, I'd rather see the game grow.

Well, those multiple ACL problems didn't help his career. It's not because he wasn't a good draft choice at our position that year, that he was going to be a bust.

Ah, Angelo Esposito, the flack I took for saying he wouldn't be in the NHL at age 22.

I never got to see the argument (wasn't on the boards in 2007) but Eagle told me it was a pretty awesome exchange

He should have sticked with figure skating. He is way too fragile for hockey. He already had back and hip problems at 17. And then the two ACL like you mentionned... for a player who's main strength was skating, it didn't help that's for sure. He was having a really good 19 yo season before his 1st ACL.

I was with you on that one.

To be fair, I wasn't keen on Giroux either so I'm not exactly batting .1000.

Flyers just lost Meszaros . Achilles, could be very bad. Sorry not too familiar with the player. But not looking good for the Flyers. And Timmo has a bad back too? Pronger toast maybe? Carle gone.

Oh boy. Hate seeing any guys get hurt but somehow it's nice to see someone else than the Habs getting the curse right now.

Wonder what Holmgren will do.

Yeah, we both weren't with Giroux. Of course, I wanted Berglund, either Berglund or Giroux would've been a victory for us.

Back when we were all allowed to have signatures, some guy quoted me in his signature, as a future investment in a "I told you so" against me.

Backfired on him.

I feel for Meszaros. To lose most of a season in your prime, because of a freak injury, that sucks.

For the Flyers, yeah, they definitely need to make at least one move. Their only blueliner with any PP ability right now is Timmonen. Maybe Gervais on the second unit.

IMO it would be more like Kaberle for a 3rd round pick in 2014.

Jeff Skinner's extension with CAR expected to be 6 years with an AAV of $5.725M.

Lol ... holy ****

Offer the same contract to Pacioretty now before these contracts get any more ridiculous.

Neither he nor Patches are worth anywhere near that. What the hell happened to second contracts? What the hell is Rutheford thinking? What the hell is the CBA for if a 20 year old kid with less than 150 games in his career is getting paid MORE THAN MARIAN HOSSA.

Skinner's a good, or great hockey player but this contract is ridiculous. I have no sympathy for Carolina if they are going to claim they're a small-market team - they resigned an RFA with no arbitration rights to a painfully long/expensive deal and they're getting money from the Habs, Leafs, Rags and Co. ********.

****ing a.

I guess they expect him to break some records with Staal - Staal - Semin in the lineup. Seriously the amount is exaggerated, I agree. It probably should be around 4 mill, the same as guess who?

Cue the "Canes we able to re-sign Skinner because they got rid of Kaberle crowd."

Good for Rutherford, moving Kaberle allowed them to sign Corvo and Semin and to give Staal and Skinner contrat extensions.
