I used to do interet marketing and had several online businesses. Now looking to invest in something as I am not doing anything. If anyone has any opportunities let me know
I live on my student aid. Reading up some old grades so that I'll be able to study economics at university. The Swedish education system is an absolute pain in the ass if you under-performed in high school.
After changing courses a few times, I'm now an inexperienced High-school teacher (received my teaching certificate only recently) currently going for a master's degree in didacticism.
I'm also the proud member of an unknown (and un-loved ) metal band in my free time.
Was a resident in medical school but might surprise some as I quit not too long ago. I will now be pursuing accounting at HEC.
I knew a guy in high school who did the same thing. I don't blame you, if you feel you didn't have the passion for it, but it's also possible to do it as a springboard to something else, like running a biotech company or being a despotic leader in Syria.
A lot of lawyers also don't end up practicing, but end up captains of industry or becoming the Republican Party presidential nominee .
Manufacturing Engineering (Génie de la production automatisée) student @ ETS
I also work as a MCR (Master control room) technician @ Sovo technologies
Never even knew you were manufacturing engineering. It's similar to what I do. We focus more on operations than manufacturing in general...at least that's how your degree sounds like.
At the moment I'm kind of the do-it-all computer guy for a Montreal based comic book shop. Aspiring video game designer.
Nice, I actually started a game company a few months ago and just signed a JV with a montreal based company. We have one title for IOS and Android, two more on the way.
I'm also the proud member of an unknown (and un-loved ) metal band in my free time.
One of my classmates last term used to be the front man for a reasonably successful metal band.
Don't remember what his band was called but he showed pictures of him performing at festivals in front of more than 10.000 people, told lots of stories about his tours in the US and that at least one of their albums had charted on the Billboard albums chart.
You really run into some interesting people at adult education classes sometimes.
Chemical Engineering student at Polytechnique. Just one year to go, but I am planning on going through a Master degree right after. I am currently working for Air Liquide Canada for an internship...
Boring job but good wages, great insurances and security at the work place (even when there is no work, we still go in). If I could find a job with this criteria and something better suited to my liking, I'd be in heaven.
Right now, I work a decent but boring job with co-workers that I grit my teeth over.
Jeeeesus,, so many of you have great jobs, educations, careers...
I hate you all.
I worked in a freezer for about 3-4 years of my life. Lifting boxes in -20 degrees. I think the best part of life is knowing if you want to do something, you can. No one's stopping you from doing whatever makes you happy.
I dropped out of school after high school and just one day applied for university as a mature student and got in. That's life. I'm still at the bottom, doing school with little experience and it's been one of the most rewarding experiences. That doesn't mean school is for everyone. Some people make a career out of fitness modeling or whatever. Hell, whatever you like, do it till you become king at it and sell it.
How did u get that job?? Ubisoft customer service im guessing is decent pay.. 20/hr.. or so, eh?
I'm gonna assume a bit less, maybe 12-14 starting (basing this off of experience). If you want a well-paying job with minimal responsibilities apply at the MUHC hospitals (or any hospital - unions!). If you get in you're essentially set, and depending on what you get you can get as many hours as you want and it's starting at like 16-18 an hour+benefits.
I recently quit my job and left school (seriously, Concordia is the worst school in the world). Going to travel for a bit now and pursue my only passion in life, writing.
In my spare time I write jokes for comedians, and just generally write comedy. Not the biggest fan of doing standup myself but my best friend does it semi-professionally (because MTL sucks for English comedians) and he's probably one of the top comedians in town and I write jokes with/for him all the time.
