I doubt the Blues need's more depth. I think Stewart would be dealt in a package for an upgrade.

A #1C and an amazing offensive threat for Stewart? Hell No.

I can set my watch to these proposals. It's a no. It has always been a no. It will always be a no unless you make an offer that actually improves the Blues.

I dont know about number one center.
But I agree with the post above, they already have depth. They would trade Stewart+ for an upgrade first.

Tyler Bozak isn't close to being a #1C.

I though he was just being sarcastic until I looked at his posts and saw that he said "Kessel is better than Zetterberg AINEC."

Same here. I almost gave him the benefit of the doubt.

A little off topic... would the Blues be a team that would go after Bobby Ryan? They certainly have the depth to make a move like that.

The Blues don't have the center depth to go after Ryan.

Nope. They don't have spare centers or d-men unfortunately.

When did the Leafs trade for Malkin or Crosby?

This, we have a ton of wing depth and goaltending is no problem. Our Centers are fine as Steen will be joining Backes and Berglund, looks good but no extras to trade without creating a hole. No way we trade a d right now without bringing one back as we are short a top 4 d-man already.

Once again. No one agrees with your proposal. I wouldn't do this trade as a leaf fan. Neither would any Blues fans. Both say no. Both say STOP.

If people claim Travis Zajac isn't a #1C, then there's no way in hell Bozak is one.

Zajac is a first to me. Don't mind hf profesionals. He's just fairly inconsistent.

Toronto can't wait to trade our 47 point C, and 43 point winger for a 30 point winger, seems like good asset management.

Sure, that seems like the most accurate way to describe all 3 players.

The Blues will keep their 30 point winger and pass on this deal that does not improve the team (and siphons off top 6 depth).

It's not the point totals from last season you should be looking at. He had a bad season last season and should rebound. With stewart for me atleast it is his questionable work ethic that would prevent me from overpaying in a trade to get him. He has all the tools to be a dynamic power forward who is a threat almost every night but he's lazy and sometimes even out of shape. If and when he matures and works hard every night he's the type of player a team doesnt trade. This is why StL fans dont want him traded for anything worth his current value but more along the lines of the value they paid to aquire him.
