Krejci has better numbers, not to mention a #1 Center is a more valuable position than a first line winger, therefore Krejci is worth quite a bit more

Seriously Lupul had one good year, a couple decent years, and a bunch of bad years due to injuries... Krejci has put up a good and consistant amount of points for quite a few years now...

Leafs fan here, it's for sure Lupul +.

I really like Lupul. I don't expect him to be putting up numbers close to what he did last year, however.

I have no idea what the '+' is though.

Lupul + means in order for Toronto to get Krejci, they would have to add to Lupul... Replace Lupul with Krejci and Krejci with Lupul for the second scenario.

Lupul is without a doubt the second most talented forward in the NHL, so the Bruins absolutely have to add. Krejci + Lucic + 1st for Lupul is a good starting point.

I wouldn't make this trade at all if I was Boston. Lupul may continue to have seasons like last year but I need to see it for another year. Krejci had a somewhat off year last year and is still better than Lupul imho.

Toronto adds because Boston has to take on that ridiculously long name.

I'd say equal values, rather have Lupul though.

definitely Lupul+. Krejci would make a solid #1 two-way Centre, and has obvious past chemistry with Kessel.

Funny how he used to suck up to Leafs ass till this past month, he decided to be a traitor and become a Flyers fan due to Homer offer-sheeting Weber.

After reading this post and checking out your profile name I've come to this conclusion. You're 1 step above the average fan with strong homerism tendencies, you're a new breed.

Superduper ultra unrational homersapien.

Big fan of Lupul, and I'd want to wait another year before deciding.... Although if I had to decide now, it would be Krejci > Lupul.

Lupul's biggest injury was a rare injury that is non-recurring (Blood infection) so I think his injury history is a little overblown (although there is some worries when it comes to his other injuries). Lupul has also shown a lot of potential since being drafted, putting together a great season with the Leafs this past year.

Personally, a deal around Lupul and Krejci intrigues me. Giving the Leafs a possible future first line of:

Kadri - Krejci - Kessel (Bad acronym though....)

That's a solid line, with Kadri's 2-way game improving, Krejci's good 2-way play, and both Kadri and Kessel's great offensive hockey IQ..... I can see that line doing very well in the offensive zone and alright-good in the defensive zone as well (something that would be nice to see...)

edit: JVR - Krejci - Kessel could be an alternative line

Hah, yes, I'm saying I wouldn't know how to quantify what the plus is. (1st rounder, Matt Frattin, Joe Colbourne)
