I just don't understand how a player of his age and playing style can even ask more than 2 years ... and I understand even less why teams are considering giving it to him.
3 years $4.5m for SHANE DOAN? Who does he think he is? Im so tired of these players dragging everything out and making everybody wait like they're the hottest free agent on planet Earth, especially when the player doesnt even deserve that kind of hype.
Not quite sure how the Flyers organization values him, but perhaps a trade centering around Murray for Talbot could be worked out. I feel as though he would be a great addition to our 2nd/3rd lines.
And I bet he is rationalizing to go with this team because we still haven't seen what they are capable of when all healthy. Havlat, Murray, Handzus, Sheppard. That's probably asking a lot from those players to bounce back in a big way, but seems like thats what we got right now.

Well the entire point of acquiring depth in the first place is to be able to withstand the injuries that will occur. Those guys will get hurt again next season and, if not them, it will be someone else. His options likely dried up is all and I'm sure he didn't have very many to begin with but the team's failures fall at his feet and he hasn't done much to improve the team in terms of personnel. Really banking on that coaching to turn them around.
If that's the case I think we are going to struggle to make the playoffs.
We're a playoff team, but he's lying if he says we're a Cup contender with the team as is. Sign Doan for something reasonable? Then maybe I'll believe him.

Believe this. RT @Gambo620 Shane Doan has signed a 4-year $21.2 million contract with $2 million in bonus money to remain with Coyotes.
It's finally over. And was extremely underwhelming.

I really did not think there was much doubt about him staying with the Yotes. I'm also glad this is over.
