Voted for Noreau because he has the best shot of any remaining prospects to crack the NHL.

Add Jason Missiaen.

The last round was essentially a two horse race, I think it's safe to say that Noreau will be our #16 prospect.

We lost a lot of prospect talent from within the organisation compared to a year ago McD (graduated), Erixon (trade), Wellman (traded), Kundratek (traded), JAM (unsigned), Zuccarello (KHL) and Valentenko. Kreider and Hagelin will both graduate this year. I know we have been getting younger on the main squad for some time, but IMO our prospect pool is starting to thin out a bit. If this leads to some very good results the next 3-5 years then GREAT! If not. -yikes!

Noreau, goalies then Spelling (I want to see how he does in the Swedish league at least for a year before he gets a higher vote from me).

Add Pashnin on the outside chance that he ever decides to cross the pond.

Ditto most of the above... Noreau. Add Missiaen.

I voted for Noreau, but I'm intrigued by Spelling. He's improved every year, and I'm curious to see what happens when competes at a higher level.

Well, now that we're through 15, interestingly my top 15 have been picked - albeit in a very different order than I would have them.

Moving forward:

16. Samuel Noreau
17. Thomas Spelling
18. Scott Stajcer
19. Peter Ceresnak
20. Kyle Jean (obviously he's my add this round)
21. Ryan Bourque
22. Cam Talbot
23. Blake Parlett

Well,

16. Samuel Noreau
17. Thomas Spelling
18. Scott Stajcer
19. Peter Ceresnak
20. Kyle Jean
21. Ryan Bourque
22. Cam Talbot
23. Blake Parlett
I'd add in Andreas Thuresson. He has at least seen an NHL game or two, something most of these other guys will never do.

Mikhail Pashnin probably deserves a mention as well. Maybe François Bouchard?

EDIT: Didn't realize Thuresson left. Never mind, LOL. Beacon, I'll try to do a "Rangers Property" list tonight.

Noreau. Parlett.

Really it's going to be a huge crapshoot now.

I think we're still good, I just think we may have gotten a little spoiled with some of the kids who came through our system.

But my gut tells me that we will still be okay over the long haul.

Bourque is next for me. At this point, he has the most skills, hopefully he just had a rough first pro season and can possibly start carving out a role.

Truth be told, Bourque seems like a classic tweener to me. The kind of guy who gets called up in case of injuries, but doesn't really wow you in any one area enough to really stick long-term at the NHL level.

Heck, right now he looks completely overmatched at the AHL level - skill wise, strength wise, game speed wise.

I just don't know if I see an NHL future for this kid.

This group is still good, but considering that our top two prospects are about to graduate and we font have a first rounder (and our second will be very late), our crop next year will not be very strong.

Noreau, again.

This is where the list drops off dramatically. Man alive. It's SLIM pickings after Noreau.

The only thing he has to me is hockey sense. And it's not even elite. It's just solid.

Very few teams produce top six scorer on top of top defense for very long, it's just not really sunstainable.

Yes we have guys who are graduating, but we also tend to forget that Kreider hasn't even played a regular season NHL game yet (though it feels like he's already entering his second season), Hagelin hasn't spent a full season in the NHL yet and this team still has Miller, McIlrath, Skjei potentially arriving within the next two years, which says nothing about some of the other players.

Again, I think we got a little spoiled around here because had this surge of guys who were all ready at the same time. This team can only get so young at any given time.

Nah, he's no better than 19 on the list; he's got to prove he's recovered from that ACL injury before I can rank him this high.
