HF-NYR Road Trip

I don't know if you guys have done this before, you probably have, but here goes.

I've known a lot of you guys for a while now on this board and for the most part, I like you guys

Yet we've never even met in real life. I'm not suggesting anything too far, but would any of you guys be interested to buy tickets to a game, say against Philly in Philly, and sit together as a large group and wreak havoc on the Flyer fans?

Just an idea as I've never met any of you and would like to.

I believe someone organized something like this up in Boston last year or the year before. I just remember being bummed out because I had a prior commitment and couldn,t go but I would definitely be in for this.

I'm in Vancouver but I wouldn't mind making whatever trip is planned! East or West coast. Preferably West to central!

I hear Leaf tickets are very expensive, but I will be in Ontario next year and will catch both Rangers games hopefully.

More expensive than our tickets so you're paying 1.5X for an away game

Technically, not away games since I'm moving to Oakville.

That's the most exciting city name I've ever heard of. Oakville

The only thing I have to say about going to Philly is that those fans are not enjoyable to watch a game with... Went with a girl one time and she was nearly in tears leaving. They are very territorial for some reason, like in the Winter Classic they couldn't handle the amount of the Ranger fans there ... which then led to the incident at Geno's...

I vote for a different city, maybe NJ is even easier?

NJ is good. It's easier and less hostile.

And that's a bad thing

But yeah, I'd vote for Jersey or LI

I don't think NJ would be too much fun. It happens to often. I'd like to do some place different. I've been to Philly before, and I didn't think the fans were bad. Maybe it's because I was sitting in the lower level. Did a trip to Montreal and D.C last year, and both were awesome. Of course, Montreal was the best, because nothing beats a game in Montreal.

My vote would go for Boston again ( we did it two years ago...take the megabus for a few bucks) or Philly. It wouldn't be bad if we were a group and sat together. I don't think people would want to take on a large group. I think we should do it!

I lived in Philly for three years, went to at least 1 game each season, and never had a problem. I went back for our final game vs. PHI this year and it was quite enjoyable... Probably didn't hurt that we were up 4-0 after the 1st.

Yea Nj's lame since it's MSG 2.0 already. Why not try to catch a Capitals game? I believe tickets are cheaper and not too far off from Philly

A few of us got together in DC for one of the playoff games and ended up taking over a local bar. I'd say Boston or DC would probably be two of the funner, easier trips to plan.

Either way I'd definitely be interested in it.

I say Philly or DC. It'll be a flight and vacation for me and I might as well as go somewhere different and to a city where there's good food and restaurants.

In Philly I am 100% DOWN!

PS, hope to make these plans early so I can use a vacation day if needed.

Buffalo would be a neat trip, eat some wings, watch the Rangers and Sabres, go over the falls in a barrel...

I always wanted to do some kind of meet up. I'm down for a local game in Philly or NJ.
