A proven NHL regular with similar or better upside. The Islanders have solid prospect depth and talent at every position.

Nino, Strome, Kabanov, Cizikas, Brock Nelson, Ullstrom, Sundstrom, Petrov..Would rather keep De Haan and go with our own forward prospects.

Nobody outside of Long Island has really cared to write anything about de Haan since 2010(unless you count injury reports) I'm sorry if I offended Islander nation by stating de Haan had 2nd pairing upside.
By the way, this site is more credible than you think. There are a lot of current/former scouts and Jr./Collegiate play by play posters on here that contribute to HF's rankings. I guess if they don't support your argument they aren't credible though.

So what you're saying is you can't post a link...

I've read NYI prospect reports from THN and Hockeyprospectus the last few seasons.
Both wrote about De Haan's top 4 potential. The latest report from July 2012.

You posted De Haan could be anything between a #3/#4 to a #7.
I'd like to read the comments from a scout about his #7 potential. So, post the link. Thanks

His sources are, as he stated before, HF posters. No need for a link. Move along.

I think De Haan IMO is overrated. I think Mayfield, Hamonic, MacDonald, Donovan, Reinhart will likely be better players.

I could see the bolded part happening, definitely, but I don't see how deHaan is overrated. This is probably the first time I've seen his name mentioned in a thread around here since he was drafted.

Isles fans don't expect him to be a franchise defenseman, but a solid 2nd pairing guy would be a good bet, IMO.

No interest in a De haan for Prince swap.

I want the isles young forwards making the roster and contributing: Nino, Strome, Kabanov, Cizikas, Brock Nelson, Ullstrom, Sundstrom, Petrov.

I'm not sour on these forwards and see little reason to move De haan.

Pronman tweeted a few months ago, that the talent level between De Haan and Donovan was very close. He gave a slight edge to Donovan, saying he had #3 potential.

If Donovan develops into a quality #3 at the nhl level and De Haan develops into a quality #4 at the nhl level, I'll be very happy.

And if all of Mayfield, Hamonic, MacDonald, Donovan, Reinhart will likely be better players, then the Isles young D will be fun watch develop

No I've seen him.

How many times have you? Twice?

How about Qwardo? He's doing exactly what I'm doing except overvaluing him, yet you don't call him out.

So I say 3/4 potential and you want sources? 2nd pairing on the high end and 7th dman on the low end I think is fair IMO. If you still need one.....use your post

It's okay, most Sens fans wouldn't either.

I think Gunnar is a #4 D. Just my opinion of course.
