Looks like we may get either Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum?

If the deal happens, we're getting Bynum for Iggy. Sounds good to me,although Bynum is a UFA after this year.

If we net Bynum with JUST giving up Iggy that would be awesome. Iggy can opt out after this year anyways.

Bynum is from NJ so maybe he would want to sign long term here.

Edit: If one of the teams is on the bubble, the sixers have a lot to facilitate it with: vucevic, harkless, moultrie.

I'd want Bynum to sign an extension.

If he walks we're right back to Hawes/Brown at the 5 and no Iguodala.

Read if we get Bynum he can sign a 3 year 60 million dollar extension or wait till the season is over and sign a 5 year 102 million dollar contract. This seems like a really really easy decision lol.

So now we're looking at:

PG: Holiday
SG: N.Young
SF: Turner
PF: T.Young/Hawes
C: Bynum

BN: Young/Hawes, Allen, J-Rich , Moultrie, Brown, Wright, Ivey, Wayns

13 man roster.

I supposed you can move Turner to 2 and Thad to 3 and have Nick come off bench too.

EDIT: Updated after the upsetting details.

First time in probably about 8 years I have been excited for the Sixers. Bynum will help this team out big time

Was a huge Iverson fan and when he was traded my interest started to fade after that. Not just with the Sixers though, the NBA as a whole really.

^Thanks Prongo.

Looks like we are losing Vucevic and a first round pick, also getting J. Richardson.

Not a big sixers fan, but i've liked Iggy since he came into the league. Kind of bummed to see him go.

No problem, it's fun when these big trades go down in any sport. The way this trade is working out, it looks like the Sixers are making out like bandits.

Also looks like Harkless is going to Orlando. Still a good trade for the Sixers.

Other names bound to emerge. Example: Just heard Harkless to Magic. But deal being submitted for league approval Friday is indeed Pau-less

Harkless may be gone too. Not sure about that though, I don't think he can be traded until December.

Sources: Howard to Lakers
Updated: August 9, 2012, 10:16 PM ET

A four-team trade that would send Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers is complete, multiple sources told ESPN on Thursday night.

A source with direct knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will get Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will get Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams.

In addition, the Magic will be getting other pieces, including 76ers No. 1 draft pick Moe Harkless, a source told Stein.

Not sure of the rules of NBA CBA but that sounds like a rule for free agents. I would think drafted players can be traded at the teams discretion.

Bynum is the inside presence this team needs, though I worry about him not resigning. But he is the man that said that there is a bank in every city, and he is going to play hard. Show him the money and I think he would resign.

I like this trade a lot less now since Harkless is involved.

Orlando goes from hosed to getting a good return, Nuggets still make out like bandits, but now Sixers are giving up their last 2 1st round picks plus a future 1st for a guy who might not even be here next year and Jason freakin Richardson.

Is this the hf mentality with prospects? Moe Harkless has not even stepped foot on an NBA court and you are said to see him leave for a dominant center and good swingman/shoot guard?

5.5 point-4.8 rebound center? Vucevic is replaced by Bynum, Harkless is replaced with Richardson and Turner now will get more time. This is an easy win for the Sixers.

If Bynum wasn't injury prone, immature and an impending UFA, emphasis on the latter, then I wouldn't care. But he is all those things.

If we weren't giving up Iggy or just Iggy straight up like originally, I'd be fine. But we coulda got a better return for Iggy separately without being in this deal.

I'm even fine with Vucevic and the 1st being involved. But I would not have included Harkless.

I think Thad's days at the 3 are over. He played the 4 exclusively last year. He never really developed that outside game to be a 3.

Sucks losing Harkless before he ever set foot on the court for us. But getting Bynum, you can get over it. I just hope Bynum is interested in signing an extension here because Harkless has a lot of potential. Vucevic has tools but I don't know if he'll ever amount to anything more than a marginal player.

So it looks like this possibly

PG: Holiday, Ivey, Wayns
SG: Young, Richardson
SF: Turner, Wright
PF: Hawes, Young, Allen, Moultrie
C: Bynum, Brown

Not sure how the 2/3 roatation is going to work.

I respect your opinion but guys like Bynum are so rare. Young, 7 footer, double-double machine, defensive anchor.

Harkless is easily replaced at some point.
