Can't say I remember a trade like this.

Everyone makes out ridiculously well aside from the team trading the best asset in the whole deal. Good lord.

ORL should have just taken the Howard for Bynum deal and shipped Bynum out at the deadline for picks if he wasn't re-signing. But considering the NBA rules and how the ''home'' team is favored by them, I bet Bynum would have eventually taken a contract from ORL.

I like this trade a lot less now since Harkless is involved.

Orlando goes from hosed to getting a good return, Nuggets still make out like bandits, but now Sixers are giving up their last 2 1st round picks plus a future 1st for a guy who might not even be here next year and Jason freakin Richardson.

I went from elated to upset.

You'll really like Bynum though. Can be a bit lazy sometimes but I think that tendency will disappear now that he's the top option. He could put up huge numbers.

Bynum is from NJ, I would imagine he'll re-sign with Philly.

I love how ORL couldn't even get unprotected 1st rounders.

The Lakers 1st rounder would only be in 2017 (at the earliest).

In the end this may be what it comes down to. Trying to get the best but trying to move on sooner than later. The closer it gets to training camps, the more desperate Orlando would become.

And yeah, I think once Bynum gets away from the LA circus, he may be more focused.

I love both the guys we just traded, but I love this. AI is top 20/30 player in the league.

still holding my breath, but it looks like mitch held out long enough to avoid taking on any bad contracts.

He'll sign wherever he gets the most money, which will be in Philadelphia now.

He's a solid player but not a superstar or #1 option type guy..but for what Denver gave up, I'd take him for that.

Orlando and Dwight Howard continually screwed this up for the start...but for the Lakers to land Howard for only Bynum is a steal

Right up there with taking Gasol out of Memphis and really only have to give up his younger brother.

Both Marc Gasol and Bynum are good...but I'd take Pau and Howard over them too

Until Dallas or someone else with a ton of cap space come calling after the Sixers go 42-40 and lose in round 1 or 2.

I think Orlando did a lot better than the initial rumor with just Gasol/Afflalo/picks.

Afflalo, Harrington, Harkless, Vucevic and a 1st from each team. While unloading J-Rich's albatross on us and finally ending the Howard drama.

I still think Denver is the clear cut winner though.

Of the trades my teams made today I'm more excited about the Cards ridding Tyler Greene than this.

Teams who lose a franchise player often do.

Howard will re-sign with the Lakers. You don't leave the Lakers.

But wow for the Sixers. Bynum is from Central Jersey, actually someone who sits in my section has a son who knows him somehow, and he came back home a number of time when he got injured because it's where he preferred to be. It's not an accident

Vucevic was never going to be much since they kept Hawes and Doug Collins clearly (rightfully) likes Lavoy Allen better.

I agree.

While Bynum would have re-signed with ORL if he were traded there, I have zero doubt he would have been too lazy for the Magic to handle. In this scenario, they get a fresh start.

In the end, this is one of those "everyone is more or less satisfied" deals except for the Nuggets, who are clearly happy.

Awesome, I was worried that we'd also have to give up Pau...but man, Kupchak always seems to get things done. Depth is going to be an issue, but this is going to be an interesting season.

Could the nuggets not have mad this trade by themselves? Theoretically, AAA/Harrington/Fournier/1sts?

Not that we'd "need" him with McGee

Like I said I really don't care about Vucevic and the 1st. I'm not too kean on including Harkless but a signed/healthy Bynum eases the pain.

I wonder if they move Hawes now that they have 4 Centers on the roster?

I think the Lakers are where the Heat were 2 seasons ago.

I do wonder what counter moves SA & OKC will be.

I think he'll re-sign in LA, I don't think Mitch would have traded for him knowing he may night re-up. He'll re-sign. And if Stern blocks this one OMG..........

Maybe it's just me, but until Dwight's ink has dried, I'll wonder if he resigns....and even then will it matter considering how it turned out in Orlando

I guess Allen can play power forward some, since Thaddeus Young could play small forward now.

I think they go with this:

Holiday
N.Young
Turner
Thad/Hawes
Bynum

Or bring Nick off the bench play ET at the 2 and Thad at the 3. I guess they could also start J-Rich possibly. Only PG and C are really set at this point.

Kobe, Pau, Nash and Howard. Doesn't really matter who's gonna play SF with those four hahaha.
