Subban for Hamonic

I know people might get mad at me but both of these players are pretty close in value. P.K. Subban might be a bit overrated but Hamonic is definitely underrated. Hamonic has a ton of leadership as well as his 2 way play. Subban still has to grow up a little bit and must rebound after last season. If the Isles really want to get JT's best friend here, it will start with Hamonic.

I will probably get bashed for this, but I think I rather have Hamonic. Think he ends up the better player.

Wow. I thought this would be for Malcolm, not PK. Will doubt Habs fans say yes to this. Nothing against Hamonic, but PK has significantly more value IMO.

The point is the Isles D hasnt been feared in decades. I dont remember anyone that could hit like Subban since Darius Kasperitis. Subban is a game changer when it comes to his hits. This is also JT's team, you really think JT doesnt tell Garth who he would want on his team?

Doesnt seem like theres a whole lot of purpose to this trade though...

It would kind of be like a Hall for Seguin trade...

Hamonic is close to if not just as good as Subban, it's not worth giving up the ++ to make Montreal go for it. **** what JT says.

If I proposed this trade a year ago everyone would really be killing me. But this is a pretty decent proposal. **** JT? Yea right, he is the franchise. Has much more power than you think.

Not really, PK has that flare to him that makes fans come to the arena. Hamonic doesnt have that flash, although he is an amazing talent as well.

Is there any reasoning for it? Is the question is Hamonic worth as much as Subban? If so, that is a easy no.

Yes **** what JT says. Let the manager manage the team. It's not like Snow is asking for input to sign Subban as a free agent. This is overpaying and making the team worse because of a childhood friendship

Its more than that, Subban is an excellent player and is just what the Isles need. On top of improving the team on the ice it is a great business move for the Islanders. Isles need star power, P.K. is a star. Have you seen any all-star defenseman on the Isles lately? I sure havent.

I do think the value isn't far off depends on how badly Montreal wants to move Subban as his potential is better. But not the worst proposal I have seen not that I expect either teams fans to agree on it.

You know what it is, It seems like Subban might not want to sign with Montreal. The Isles would have to be interested. It will take Hamonic or more. For the people that think the trade would be like trading Hall for Seguin have no idea what they are watching. Both players bring different things to the table and both teams need what each player offers in the trade. Oh and what I would do to have a Kronwall type of player on the Isles.

Hamonic will be a solid player in the NHL for years to come but I don't see the incentive for the Habs to make this trade.

If you take one of Montreal's problems with PK and ship them some draft pick love, I'd think this would be a rather good deal. Otherwise, I think Bergevin can get better. Not a bad proposal however.

Hamonic is a nice looking young defenseman with good upside I like what I have seen of his game and I think he is going to be an important part of the developing islanders blueline. The guy has skill, size, wheels and sandpaper too.

I can't respect him as a player.

I prefer to see him play in Montreal where he can play most of his games against teams other than the NYR

No it would not, Subban and Hamonic don't have nearly identical values. Hamonic is a fine young player no doubt, but he's a notch below.

Isles 2013 First, Andrew MacDonald, and good prospect(Nelson)

I'm thinking it's not enough but is that something to get the ball rolling?

I know the Isles would never do this but say they offer sheet Subban for a 10 year/50 million dollar deal. Do the Habs match?

I like Hamonic quite a bit, but under no circumstances would i consider moving PK for him.
