Hey it's King Canuck! I've lied about my age numerous times on my forum been telling people I've been 16 since I started posting here, truth is I'm still not even 16! I'm your prototypical 15 year old Canadian boy. I started cheering for the Canucks in 2002-2003 playoffs I just feel in love with the team offensive style of play. Growing up I didn't really have a go to player always liked the way Bertuzzi and Jovo played tho. As I started watching more I started loving the game more. I turned into the kid who knew every player in the league! The day I remember most as a fan was the night before the 2006 draft in Vancouver. My favorite team had traded for my favorite goalie in the league! Like I said above I always had a soft spot for Big Bert, but I realized he needed a fresh start somewhere else.

As Bertuzzi and Jovo left for Florida and Phoenix. The WCE Canucks we're slowly drifting away and a new culture was born with the acquisition of Mitchell and Luongo. Like I mentioned above I was always a big fan of Luongo and my two most memorable moments of him were his first every game as a Canuck against the Wings where we beat the power house wings 3-1. And Luongo's first every playoff game in which he made 72 saves in! Vancouver was never good enough to make the leap them from 2007-2010 with Luongo we couldn't make it past the second round.

As 2011 came along the Canucks were coming of there 2 nd straight 2 nd round exist by the Chicago Blackhawks. Vancouver had a big summer bringing in two top 4 defencemen in Dan Hamhuis and two ideal 3 rd liners in Raffi Torres and Manny Malhotra! Vancouver shattered franchise records winning there first ever President's trophy and being the first team ever to lead the league in GF GA PP and finish top 3 in PK! The Canucks couldn't get a worse first round opponent there reward for winning the President's trophy was playing the defending Cup Champ Hawks? The same team who eliminated them in 2 straight years? Vancouver won the first 3 games and looked poised to finish them of in a sweep, but as Canuck and Sedin killer Dave Bolland arrived at the scene, the Hawks blew out the Canucks in games 4 and 5. As game 6 emerged Canucks coach AV shocked the hockey world starting backup Cory Schneider. The Canucks had a 3-2 lead looked poised to win the series until disaster struck Micheal Frolik was awarded a penalty shot! Frolik not only scored Canucks goalie Schneider who looked so good in the game went down with and injury which took him out of the game! Roberto Luongo had to step up again. As the game went on the calls got worse and worse I remember telling myself that was arguably the worst officiated playoff game I've ever seen! Minutes into overtime Chicago rookie Ben Smith won the game for Chicago sending it to game 7!

As game 7 emerged on Tuesday night. The storyline was like one of a movie! As the puck dropped for game 7 the Canucks looked good out of the gate and in no time Canucks Winger Alex Burrows scored giving the Canucks a 1-0 lead. Both teams pressed but neither could solve Luongo or Crawford, including a penalty shot miss by Burrows. As the game grew older the Canucks took more and more control and with minutes left in the 3 rd Chicago took a penalty! That would surely give the Canucks the win right? Nope Chicago Captain Jonathan Toews who'd been rather quite up until this point of the series (In terms of play not words) He did the unthinkable scoring from his belly! Tying the game at 1-1 Canucks nation was stunned, I didn't say a word! The boys had to regroup seeing as game 7 was going to OT! OT started and Alex Burrows takes a penalty almost 200 feet from his goal! Burrows went from hero to scapegoat! Or you would think. Chicago was pressing on the PP and had one glorious chance to win "Toews down low, looking in front, now he makes a pass to Patrick Sharp. Great save Luongo on Patrick Sharp" The words of Jim Hughson. Burrows and the Canucks survived the kill and minutes later. "Campoli trying to clear it. Burrows shoot scores!. Alex Burrows started it, had so many chances to seil it and finally won it. After 3 seasons and 19 playoff games in Vancouver it's a wonderful day for an exorcism" They had slayed the dragons.

The Canucks magical run was not over there, they bounced the Preds in 6 and had a commanding 3 1 lead against the Sharks going into game 5. Vancouver took the earlier lead and again looked like they were heading to the Finals! But another Schneider Frolik incident occurred. Dan Boyled Tied the game at 1-1 and when that goal was scored Canucks MVP and Heart and Soul Ryan Kesler was escorted of the ice which was later discovered as a torn hip labrum. Early in the 3 rd Roberto Luongo made a horrendous read going out to challenge on a Sharks 2 on 1 Pavelksi than fed Setoguchi perfectly giving him an empty net goal, which gave the Sharks a 2-1 lead. Kesler came back but really didn't look much into form. As the 3 rd wore on the chances of a game 6 back in San Jose inched closer. But with 14 second left injured Canuck Kesler delivered taking the game to overtime. There I was thinking to myself is this the same Canucks I've been cheering for, the same Canucks who have had some of the worst luck in sports! It was a sureal feeling. In Overtime Luongo was unreal he made a total 54 saves in that game surely making up for his earlier miss Q. We all know how that game ended with Kevin Bieksa scoring one of the strangest goals ever. I just had a feeling inside me that this was the year everything was finally going are way, and no one could stop us!

The Boston Bruins beat the Bolts in game 7, making them are 3 rd Stanley Cup Final counterpart. Vancouver was they heavy favorite in this series. They took the first 2 games like everyone expected, and many fans thought the series was already over, the Bruins roared back scoring 12 goals in the 2 games in Boston. Which tied the series and 2-2.

Game 5 was a night to remember for Canucks fans all over the world. Boston had the first 4 PP's on the game IIRC, but they just couldn't solve Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo both Thomas and Luongo were unbeatable for the first 40 minutes of the game! I remember that night like no other I was with my 5 best guy friends all at my friends house watching the game us 4 die hard fans and 1 die hard Bruins fans watching nervously it was back and fourth between the two teams, when finally Max Lapierre scored a huge goal, my friends house shook when we scored I jumped up so high I broke his window *True Story* When trying to hold onto the lead I couldn't breathe! Luongo stood on his head giving us the win! The relief felt when the final buzzer can't be explained in words. We then lit the loudest possible fireworks ever! We then proceed to go downtown, proudly wearing are jerseys high fiveing everyone. We finally made it to downtown it was a unreal atmosphere just the best thing in the world. My friends are all older and I look much older than my actual age so we did a lot of fun things seeing as they could get anything and could go into anywhere that night had to be up there with the best of all time for me.

So there you go sorry I got carried away. But those are the best moments as a Canucks fan. Didn't include anything after game 5, because honestly to many bad memories. Can't wait to see what the future unfolds for this franchise!

Hello all, I'm just your typical appliance called a microwave. You know, the one where you put your popcorn or etc inside me in order for me to heat food up for you? Yup, that's me.

Oh, I'm also a Canucks fan. Started posting on CDC, later found out that was a huge mistake, started posting seriously on HFboards last year, then found out that this forums is also **** (especially the general section) so now, I don't even care anymore.

Hey, my name is VanCity Millionaires. I'm 29 and have been a Canucks fan for life. I'm a fifth generation Vancouverite, and plan on soon keeping the trend going. My passion for the Canucks really blossomed when I was 8 and my best friend's dad was the translator and personal assistant for Pavel Bure. We got to meet him and Valeri, as well as his parents. We also go to go the the rink where I met Captain Kirk, who is still my all time favourite Canuck. I only own one jersey, and that is a Burrow's jersey I got last year. I only ever played goalie, but that never amounted to much other than hours upon hours of street hockey, and two years of roller hockey around the Voodoo time... I don't post a tonne on HF, though I've been a member for 7 years now, but I do organize the annual H2H fantasy league with PNF (PhillyNucksFan) which is going onto its 5th or 6th year now.

Been a Canucks fan since Adams scored that goal against TO. I was sitting in my room, half asleep because I was tired of watching the game, and my little bro woke me up. Since then I've been, easily, the biggest Canucks fan in my fam and arguably my peer group.

I've only seen the Canucks 3 times - being from the Island it's pricey. Saw Gretzky's first game as a St Louis Blue and Mogilny scored 2 in a 2-2 draw. Also saw Bert get a hat trick against Detroit 6-3 a few years back and most recently I also saw them beat NAS ... and by recently we're talking like 2007 haha so it's been a while.

Me and CrackerJibbs have known each other since we were 5 years old. He's a solid dude too.

I dragonboat as well, so if anyone in Victoria is ever looking to join a team just track me down with The Goblin Empire. We're the craziest team at any event.

Favorite current Canuck would be Hammer or Juice.

Well, I'm fairly well known round these here parts but I'll give 'er anyhow.

I'm thepuckmonster, also known as Caley, also known as the chick that made the superhero Canucks photoshops. I'm 23 and a recent chemistry graduate with high ambitions of prestigious med schools and such. I've been a Canucks fan since I was 5, when I first saw Bure play (despite growing up in a Leafs crazy household). I'd consider myself one of the biggest homers I know, and am in the current process of actively converting my Blackhawks fan boyfriend over to the dark side. It's going quite well, if I do say so myself. My secondary team is Philly, because apparently I love the teams other fan bases love to hate. Spread the love, haters. I have a penchant for gin and sarcasm, and and my dog is my trusted partner in crime.

I'm pretty tight with Zombotron on the boards, I think it's his horse head that really solidifies the BFF status.

My favorite Canuck of all time is obviously Bure or Linden, but as for the current roster it's a three way tie between Higgins, Hansen and Schneider.

PPS: I just got a spiffy iPad so please people, tell me some cool apps or what for it. I'm an Apple newbie.

Figz14, you can all call me Figz(was/is my nickname, probably going to change the name when I can though.) I've been a fan since WCE era. I became a huge HFboards addict back in 07, but never joined till now. I still remember when a few posters were mods, name changes, and etc.

Other than hockey I love Soccer. I love to cook, always have, I love biking, and I have a dog that's a bit over a year old named Gus(from the show Psych.) I also study at BCIT.

tl:dr

Unrelated - people have tried giving me nicknames, but they have never, ever stuck. All manner of them, too (from the ones I wouldn't have minded sticking, to the ones I am ever so grateful did not)

I've been given so many nicknames that after a few years a new one comes up. Be grateful.

14 for Burrows if anyone's wondering.

My first nickname was "Whitey". Not so good.

Then it was "Ziploc". That one stuck.

Now it's "Diesel". I ... may have made that one up myself.

Hey fellow Canuckleheads,

Lived in Van for 10 years, and now split my time between Cawston B.C (Southern Interior) and Leipzig (Germany). Been a fan of the Canucks since 1991. Was already playing minor hockey in the South Okanagan, but had minimal interest in the NHL and its players. Began watching the good old CBC around age 9. Was initially a Bruins fan, as I truly starting following hockey during the Bruins and Oilers Stanley Cup final of 1990. Loved Neely, Bourque, Moog (the fact that I've was born in Penticton might have something to do with it) and of course Billy Ranford. Didn't start following Van city's finest until my first live game at the Pacific Coliseum against Chicago in the fall of '91. Been a die hard Canuck fan ever since. Recall they won the Smythe Division that year, and well believe it was the teams best regular season to date. My fondest memory was meeting Pavel back in '92 with his brother Valerie as well at a card convention at the Agrodome I believe. Shook his hand, received some autographs and well was star struck to say the least, I had met my idol!!! Many highs and lows since then, but its been 40 years and counting, and this city and Province is still anticipating its first Championship. 2012-2013 the year of conquest for the Canucks, we shall see?

When I played soccer, there were four kids with the same name on the team. They called me "Doc" because my first two initials were MD. For a period of about a month in high school people called me "Spike" because my hair was spiky and it rhymed with my name (Mike). In minor hockey, they tried nicknames like "Frosty" and "Force" based around my last name (second one started out as "Forsy", and became "Force", which turned back into just calling me by my first name).

I suppose the most frequent nickname was "hey idiot" in high school.

Well, i'm portuguese (that tiny little country in Europe who is currently bankrupted) and a insane one-minded blinded Canuck fan (at least, some of my friends who follow hockey think that way).

I try to watch all games in NHL.com, even if the start time is 3.30 am here. And i don't even tell you how hard was to "sleep" at 6.30am watching that ugly beast from Slovakia hoist the Cup.

And sorry for my lousy english.

I live in the Portuguese capital of Canada (Kitimat). I think I recall hearing we had the highest per capita Portuguese population in the country at some point in the last few years.

It's not difficult
Really, our politicians are complete morons. At least, Canada made some investments around Alentejo (minerals, mostly wolfram) and even those almost fell apart because of compensatory fees/terms with the Government.

Oh well, at least we have 30șC at 7 pm in July and August.
