And I'll explain. With the Weber deal, They based the pay(Not cap hit) over 5 years, and then divided by 5 which was in excess of 8M, thus would have recieved 4 1st rounders. In the 10 years/50M proposed offer sheet, he did not list any details(Frontloaded/Backloaded) so it was assumed it was a straight 5M each year. The return would be 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

Never worried per se but netting at least two firsts from Long Island would be a pause to consider.

No way, regardless of their skill, Subban generates more revenue. This is more valuable to the owners then their potential.

Couturier and Bourdon for Gorges and Subban.

You might want to go back and read the whole thread. It would be 4 1sts.

Subban also faced a higher level of competition. I like Hamonic a lot, but he's not at Subban's level yet.

To bad it's wrong. Just because 1 person says something, and gets others to follow, doesn't mean it's right.

You could try citing your explanation instead having to rely on hearsay.

Yeah.....no

Gorges and Subban was our first pairing last year. We can't afford to trade either one of them, let alone BOTH of them.

Seeing as 3 mods killed me on me saying "WTF NSH only get 2 1sts, 2nd, 3rd!" in the Weber thread they explained to me how they actually would have gotten 4 1sts, I'll take their informed opinions with CBA citation over 1 guys and followers.

It wasn't serious. A serious proposal would be Coburn, Couts for Gorges, Subban.

So 50 million which is is pay divided by 5 is over 8 million.....

This board's fascination with Subban trade proposals is beyond ridiculous.

I think I'll start posting daily Jamie Benn to Montreal proposals. He's still unsigned! Maybe he wants out of Dallas!

Really? Rebound? 36 pts (most on the team for a D), +9 (on a team that was -14 in general). The previous season, his rookie one, he had 38 points and was -8...

I dont get when people say he has to grow up. Correct me if I'm wrong but do you know how he is in the locker room? Sure he ****s around on the ice but that's part of his game! He gets under peoples skin and I for one love it!

Yes, rebound. I followed him last season, Montreal fans know he didnt play well most of the season. Numbers dont mean everything.

sorry to tell you but your wrong..
after 5 years it becomes total money / 5 so a 50mill offer over 10 years becomes same as a 50mill/5years so 10mill/y so 4 1st..

True, but you did expect a little more out of him even on a bad team. I had him on fantasy last season and he drove me nuts!

lol so did I. Maybe you can expect more, but I dont think he had that bad of a season if you compare to the team in general. 36 points from him on say the Rangers, Canucks, Bruins would be a bad season where he'd need to rebound, but, compared to his teammates, personally I dont think he had that bad of a season. Anyways, I hope he just gets more and more points from here on end. Go Habs
