All of these "players wanting out" is concerning. If there's any truth to them (could be) then management better act soon re: JB.

Not sure if Albergy is in or out (he's playing some sort of puck overseas right now) but he's a great character guy that seemed to be a big locker room guy that guys turned to. Hottot is a similar type. Sarnia cannot afford to have these players leaving IMO.

I'm not sure where the DeAngelo leaving stuff is coming from. Not much validity on it IMO but who knows. His relationship with Sting management seems fine. He's a great talent that should be fun to watch develop this season

He's at the WJC camp with Murphy and Boucher right now.

Scary stuff. Hopefully we get some sort of confirmation soon.

Who is at WJC camp with Murphy and Boucher? Galy is but I don't think DeAngelo is, If that is who you were referring to. But confirmation of more guys wanting out would really make me sour and hurt are team and fan base and reputation of are team.

And you are spot on about the ownership better figure it out quick why are guys are wanting out. There is obviously something going on behind the scenes with these players and Jacques. After the abuse DeAngelo took in London the last time we played there I guess it wouldn't surprise me if the lad wanted out. But this is BS not only for the players but us as fans. It seemed like we finally had a long term plan with the brick by brick and abandoned that idea mid stream. Well plan B didn't work so well and now what?

Galchenyuk, Murphy & Boucher are all at Team USA WJC camp. DeAngelo along with Sting draftee Michael Downing are attending Team USA U-18 Ivan Hlinka camp before they head off to Europe for the tournament Aug 13-17.

'our' team...not "are team"....sorry
De Angelo is playing for the US U-18 team at the Ivan Hlinka. I believe it starts next week.
Still curious about Alberga though.

Haha I wanted to make that correction too

Sorry. Meant to say that DeAngelo was at Ivan Hlinka prep

Hope to hear something surface with all of these rumblings soon

In the end, it sucks for the fans but I care more about these kids doing well. It really shouldn't be this difficult.

Hey Sting fans,

I am a Habs fan, and it seems more likely that Alex Galchenyuk will be heading back to Sarnia. I'd really like to come watch a game to see him play. Does anybody know where you can get tickets at good prices?

Thanks.

So if (when) the NHL locks out the players, does Yakupov come back to Sarnia or will he stay in Russia? Do the Oilers have any say on where he plays in the event of a lockout or strike? Can he play in the KHL? I don't know how these labour things work.

Couple of former Sarnia Sting members find new homes

Jack Nevins traded from Kingston to London for a 9th round pick. Headed to a rival of Sarnia's

Fired earlier this summer, former sting head scout Jim Debenhem has been hired by the Plymouth Whalers. Here's a franchise that doesn't seem to do much wrong.

Good luck Jim. He was always a very approachable man

Think you mean rehired by Plymouth. What is the braintrust at the sting thinking anyway...geeze.
I think Yaki would play AHL.

He cant play in the AHL. I think he has already proven everything he can at the OHL level, my guess is if there is an NHL lockout is that he goes to the KHL for a season.

Personally, if im the Oilers, I treat him like any other player. He has nothing left in the OHL, and 40 games in the NHL would be better then 60+ in the OHL.

Hes locked out like Shawn Horcoff, Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle. I treat him just like I treat those players.

So why can't he play in the AHl? Imports aren't bound by the same rules as NA born players.

Was at the box office today after hockey and found out that the Sting upped the price of single game tickets to $20. They better ice a good team or the seats will be even emptier than last year.

Season tickets went up to $550 this year too - After last year's performance (only 2 playoff wins) I considered not renewing, and then the cost of tickets went up that much - Hard to justify.

^ so the CHL players form a union and they decide to let the public know by a news release from a website based in Texas?

Ticket price raises are just part of the process, inflation if you will. Compared to around the league, Sarnia has good prices. Below to average, plus no parking expenses

Yakupov to play in KHL in the event of a NHL work disruption? The writer doesn't seem to be aware that Gally is prepping for the Sting pre-season.

The writer is probably just thinking that the Sting may think Galchenyuk is ready for the NHL.

I don't see how the writer thinks Galchenyuk isnt likely to return. From all accounts at the US NEJC, Galchenyuk's showing was prettyediocre and he certainly wouldn't be hurt by returning tonSarnia for another oHL season
