Shows how important the league is if they're allowed to have a friendly instead of playing a league game.
Rangers 1-1 with Peterhead.
First off, the Rangers result is absolutely hilarious.
Second, I have a funny feeling that Dundee United might be a serious challenge to Celtic. The biggest problem for the diddy teams was having to break through against the Old Firm when you had to play them 8 times. Now you only have to raise that level of performance 4 times through the year. Celtic taking time off from the league to play glamour friendlies possibly speaks to a lack of intensity in management. Everyone else is also desperate to take points off them, but that might not happen to a dark horse until January.
Also, Dundee United have a good team that's still growing. Honestly, it's probably more out of hope that the league will be interesting.
Still no goals for County, or against them so far this season. 'Mon the Staggies!
United have always given Celtic a tough game, and if the can stay consistent and avoid injuries then it could be interesting
Is Aberdeen v County a derby game?
Yeah I missed last week's one
Nah, I think I heard this is our first time ever playing a competitive match. Maybe if we stay up for a few years since they're a slight geographical rival, though you could say the same for Perth. Our only real rival is Inverness. All our best songs are about Caley players and events from the few years after when we both got admitted into the SFL.
Good draw. Kirkpatrick really should have done better with the chance he had near the end. Still, I would have absolutely taken that at the start of the day. I'm a bit worried about a lack of height since everyone else seems to have a man mountain up front, but if we can get back to the sharpness of our counterattacking from last season (the short passing isn't near what it was last year even considering the step up) I haven't seen anything so far that makes me excessively worried that we'll be dogfighting to stay up at the end.
County look good against Celtic in the first half. Arguably should have been in front after a goal was chalked off for offside. The scorer was on, but another player was off. I personally think it was the correct call as Coco was dragging a defender out of position. Hopefully Adams can get them back on track as they were allowing Celtic too much space as the game wore on. I don't have any concerns about fitness as fitness has always been a big part of Adams' regime.
