Probably where all all major UFA's are rumored to go with their agents keeping some random team in the mix to play them off one another to maximize their contracts. Rangers, Flyers, Penguins, Bruins, Kings etc.

Adding Getzlaf would give us four top six quality centers (Zetterberg is a wing but has been playing center for a long time now) and another one potentially in the making.
Not that I think Getzlaf will/would go to Detroit, or Detroit would try to get him, but the Kings are in a similar situation and make it work. Technically, Kopitar, Richards, Carter, Stoll are all top six centers and after that the Kings have Lewis, Richardson, Fraser, Loktionov as centers when playing their natural position (and I'm probably forgetting someone).

I think Perry does 1 of 2 things...

1- Stays in Anaheim
2- Goes to Boston/Pittsburgh/Philly... one of those 3 teams. He won't stay in the West.

I'm gonna go a little off radar and say Getzlaf signs with one of Winnipeg, Edmonton or Calgary and Perry signs with Anaheim, Phoenix, Tampa or Nashville.

These young stars who've been playing on the pacific cost or Florida are too afraid or intimidated by what they've heard to go to Toronto or Mtl or Cgy etc. Oh no I'll have to spend more time answering fan questions, signing autographs, and meeting people when I'm out....must avoid big market!

IF Perry leaves I can guarantee you that it will not be to a major city. Perry is very quiet and doesn't like the media. You can tell when Perry does interviews how quiet he is and doesn't like to be in the public eye.

Washington and GMGM setting themselves up to make a run for both. Currently with 10 mil plus cap space and MIke Ribiero in the last year of his 5 mi. contract, they'll have the $ available along with the need.

Perry, former London Knight, Dale Hunter influence comes into play?

If I was a Perry and had an unbias POV, Pittsburgh would be #1 on my list.
If I was Getzlaf, and also had an unbias POV, honestly, Toronto would seem appealing.

I'm a sens and Philly fan, so I think that's saying something, lol.

Would be nice to see Perry in Pittsburgh but if the Ducks are going to move Ryan, no way they let one of these guys go

I'm surprised at how many people think the Rangers could be a landing spot for either one of these two. I personally don't think they have a chance in hell, although I would like to see Perry in a Rangers uniform.

No chance whatsoever on Getzlaf, I'd eat the biggest plate of crow in the world if they got him.

To Leafs- Getzlaf, Perry

To Getzlaf,Perry- Blank Cheques. Fill in your own salary and contract, we'll just sign it.

Well the Penguins have close to $10M in cap space right now, if the cap goes down then it all depends on how much it decreases. But they have salaries they can move.

Now I'm not even thinking that Perry will be available next summer, the Ducks will do everything they can to keep him, he recently won a Hart Trophy and scored 50 goals, you don't let guys like that walk.

Perry's next destination will probably be a few doors down from his current house in Newport Beach.

Getz and Perry ain't going back to play under Caryle that's for sure.

I don't care what he said about Joffrey Lupul, Lupul didn't play under him for basically his entire careers like Getzlaf and Perry did.

The Carlyle factor eliminates them for going to Toronto if you ask me. Money talks, but I think they'll get plenty of sizeable offers elsewhere if they hit FA.

If theyre going to leave Anaheim some team will trade for both of them and then sign them. Dont see either of these guys hitting Free Agency tbh.

Not sure what teams would actually be able to trade for both of them though, maybe Montreal or Tampa? San Jose maybe if they move Marleau and/or Thonton.

Doubt it, unless they go on to win the cup or something. If they leave Anaheim it's probably because they want to test FA.

You are now thinking the Hunter still likes the GM of the caps? wtf?

Perry could go to rags if he wants to play again with his friend Nash. Dont' see Getz going there.

I think both will probably stay but if Getzlaf ends up going to free agency I hope the Oilers give him a nice offer. He's from Alberta, his agent lives in Edmonton and he's the perfect fit for our 2nd line moving forward so it could be a fit for him.

Plus if he wants another chance at the cup, Edmonton would be one of the better options out there IMO. With Getz and our young kids developing we'd be a contender in the next few years.
