Most of his time in Toronto he was injured so i'm not sure how you can even judge him. He was good in Pittsburgh and good in Atlanta. I think i'll trust Therrien on this one

What kind of injuries did he sustain anyway?

Concussion? Knees?

If he gets injured a lot then maybe.. but then again, he only cost 1M$ which is almost nothing.

I have a feeling Armstrong will actually be a fan favourite.

Wow. That's not nearly as bad as I thought. Playing the way he does I assumed it was concussions and that had me worried.

Armstrong was more than just okay in Pitt. There's a reason--beside Burke's infatuation for trucculence--that he got the contract he did 2 years ago. He's a versatile depth player who agitates and hits like a truck. He's a really sneaky player though. I think habs fans will love him.

Well aren't you a negative nelly. His odds are 50/50. Either he will be good or bad. It will all depend on what Colby we get, the Atlanta/Pitts one or the Toronto one. Why not wait to see before you already create his Habs tombstone? what's the harm in that?

He wants to be known as the guy in montreal who hated Colby before it was cool.

Hmm, seems like third line supplementary scoring to me(pace is a little less than .5 PPG for his career). With trollishness built in.

With the scoring trash(note: only scoring) Eller's had to work with, Armstrong should be an improvement, provided that he isn't injured.

Nice to see him getting along with his teammates, don't know why DD, Bouillon, and Gio aren't in uniform though...

Those are kids. Not DD, Bouillon and Gio. Don't know you could confuse them.

I'm sure with some binoculars you can see the joke flying over your head.

Is Armstrong defensively responsible?

If so, he could end up as the 2nd winger on the Plekanec line, which is our shutdown line.

Knowing Therrien I think that's exactly where he'll end up and I'm not sure I have a problem with that.

So the plan is to have 3 defensive lines and hope Desharnais turns into a PPG+ player? Awesome, I can't wait for Mackinnon.

He has scored 20 goals before...

I think Therrien might let Pleks, gio and Army be an offensive line, while he'll probably want Eller, Bourque and Moen/Prust to be the shutdown line and then the 4th line as a real energy line.

The Plekanec line is our shutdown line, that is to be expected.
