I'm glad that there really have been no cards brought out in this game.

About 6 minutes of regulation, then whatever of stoppage, but this game is far from over.

Not a bad way for the US to celebrate Nagasaki Day.

It's already tomorrow for Japan though, so... everyone wins?

The the Guardian does not have the rights to broadcast the Olympics, so they recreate it, brick by brick, with legos.

Rich Hammond @lakingsinsider
Chris Paul sprinted off bench to grab the ball at the end of gold-medal game. Maybe he thought Patrik Elias was Spanish.

Well... they're over.
Fun and exciting games to be sure. Still, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm all Anglo'd out.

The skeletal ship during the Annie Lennox song was a great metaphor for the slow death of the Royal Navy. I doubt they did that on purpose, though.

Apparently sailing something called Star Boat or something like that is the biggest sport in the world. It was the only event we really tried for this year, it was that or nothing basically. Sure, we sent some athletes in some other sports as well, but we honestly didn't really bother with all that silly swimming and running. Maybe we cared some about the Handball tournament. At least for the men.
Oh, and that lesbian communist you Americans have as the head coach for your women soccer team... we want her back.
Actually, taking home 1 gold and a total of 8 medals is pretty good for Sweden these days. We're focusing a bit too much on the wrong sports, perhaps, at least if the right ones are the ones in the Olympics. We really want bandy and floorball to become Olympic events (we're not that good in the Winter games either, so we could use some help there as well... stupid Norway stealing all our medals).
